As Leus moved forward in the alleyway, Memories began to resurface and he didn't like that.

His face paled a bit and he slowed down.

The girl noticed that Leus' movement became slower, She thought that pulling the cart was becoming difficult for him so she said

"Are you okay? Let me pull the cart"

and approached him

Leus took a deep breath

'Now isn't the time for that nonsense'

He pushed all the memories to a corner of his mind and said

"No, I'm fine, Just some unpleasant memories, Let's change the topic"

The girl slowly moved away and looked at Leus with confusion

'Memories? He doesn't have to push himself that far for me'

She didn't really believe him, but she felt that it'd be rude if she asked again

She sighed and moved forward

Leus suddenly asked

"So what's your name?"

Hearing that, she felt flustered

"Ah, Right, I didn't introduce myself, Sorry.

I'm Melisandre, You can call me Meli, What about you?"

"Nice to meet you, Meli, I'm Leus, Leus In-"

Leus abruptly stopped, Melisandre turned to him and asked

"Nothing. I'm Leus, Call me Leus"

Three Males, Two with red hair and one with blue hair

The blue-haired guy seemed the strongest among them, And he had a long scar on his right cheek, The two red-haired guys were very similar-looking, Almost like twins

'Actually, No, They are twins'

Meli grabbed Leus' hand and pulled him to move faster

"Let's go Leus"

Leus was very calm, and he didn't resist Meli's pull and moved forward faster

'It's better to not cause trouble, But it's always the trouble coming for me anyway...'

The blue-haired guy stood in front of Meli, Pointed at Leus, and asked

"Why the rush? Won't you introduce your new friend to us?"

One of the red-haired guys beside him said

"Maybe her business flourished and she hired an assistant, Boss"

The three started laughing

Leus struggled to maintain an expressionless face and said

The blue-haired guy narrowed his eyes and inspected Leus

First, He saw the Emblem, Then he looked at the sheathed sword on Leus' hip and the fancy dagger wrapped around his leg

"You are from outside" He said in a solemn tone

Meli panicked, She didn't want to cause trouble for Leus, So she said in a pleasing tone

"Can you please not bother him? Here, Take this"

She handed him 1 bronze coin

The guy smiled mischievously and said

"Of course not, Since when do I harass beautiful maidens for money? I just want to get to know the young man here"

The two red-haired guys were surprised by his attitude, He never turned down money, well, except on rare occasions, usually involving this girl.

Also, both the guys were wondering

'What does Maiden mean?'

The blue-haired guy extended his hand to Leus and said

"I'm Scar, What's your name?"

Leus stood with his arms crossed for a second

' ... Hmm, Well, He didn't say me anything wrong'

Leus shook his hand and said

"Leus"

Scar's smile disappeared

"Family name"

When Leus heard that, he smiled for the first time since he entered the slums

'A smart gangster? That's rare'

"If I tell you, I must kill you"

Leus didn't really think much when saying that, He just thought that

'It sounds cool'

He never took these guys seriously, To him, they were just a bother that he knew he could easily handle.

To Scar, There was something scary about Leus saying that with a smile on his face, Meli looked at Scar in terror and both the guys expected him to hit Leus

But no one dared to say anything, Everyone was just silent.

For a couple of seconds, a brief but eerie silence ensued.

Scar broke the silence by saying

"Alright ... I'll hear it from you the next time, What brings you here, Leus?"

Hearing that, The two red-haired guys looked at each other in confusion

Normally, If someone taunted Scar, then he'd be dealt with appropriately.

But Scar did nothing to that kid, Why?

Leus contemplated how he should handle the situation

'Regardless of how I handle the situation, I'll eventually leave, leaving only Meli behind.

If they choose to harm her, I won't be here to protect her.

Leus smirked

And the area turned pandemonium.
