Magical Internet

The basic framework of the internet could be compared to a simple spider web. Your devices are the ends of the web, the centre is the server you are connecting to. 

The web string is the connection and each web string has its own unique identifier that the Server uses to identify and deliver information directly to them… This part was more complicated. 

However, Steve planned to recreate all that but in a magical way. He had no true reason as to why he would do so other than he could do it so he was doing so. 

He already built a strong hunter network that worked with current technology, this was completely different. 

"Wait, Judy, if we do succeed in creating this, what ways do you think it can be used that would profit us?"Steve asked. 

Even if he was doing this purely because he had the resources and because he could, he also wanted to be able to gain from it. 

"Sir, creating this would essentially allow you to privatise the internet, you could sell spaces to nations to allow them an intranet, you could take over the gaming industry with ultra realistic virtual reality games… it is all but a single change that allows you to connect people's consciousness to it…" Judy said as she began to list benefit after benefit. 

"That checks out… wait, couldn't I also use this to achieve a unique system of transport"

"By adding gate runes to certain locations, you can tether the internet to the physical world, allowing people to transport themselves from one spot to another," Judy said. 

As they discussed, the blueprint continued changing accordingly. Before long, there was a monstrosity before them. 

They spent hours within the basement before a basic framework was created. 

At the moment, floating before them was a small orb-like thing. It just sat there with nothing special about it. 

"Hmm, considering what this thing should be able to do, it looks remarkably ordinary" Steve said 

"The measure of any good technology is how intuitive it is not how fancy it looks" Judy replied 

"Kinda true, anyway we better get some sleep… Tomorrow we would be registering the company" Steve said as he looked at the floating orb

A bit above the orb, a small loading bar could be seen, it wasn't even a quarter full. However, Steve wasn't worried as he knew why. 

He was creating a magical version of the internet that will have absolutely no connection to the real internet, he needed to transfer some things over. 

"Come to think of it, Google is essentially the backbone of the internet, I should probably start thinking of a way to replace it or get them onboard" Steve said. 

It may not be known but Google does hold sort of a monopoly on the Search Engine world and so far has being the most used Advertising platform on the internet 

If he wanted to create a magical internet that people would want to use one day, it was necessary that he either developed a new engine that functioned just as well as Google did or made Google sign a deal with him. 

After that was to get the porn sites and gaming platforms to move to it as well.
