5 CHAPTER FOUR

Dora pulled Violet over to the secluded space in the park. To be honest, it wasn't a secluded place. It's just a fully grown tree with a really large and slightly flat trunk big enough to hide two 15 year olds from the view of others.

Violet couldn't help but sigh at Dora's enthusiasm as she sat them both behind the trunk. She turned to face Dora only to be startled as she had a huge grin it was almost creepy, yes it was right in her face. "Can you please stop pushing your face into mine". She groaned as she pushed Dora's face away with her entire palm

Dora just chuckled as she removed Violet's palm from her face. "Come on, spit it out already. Daniel would soon wake up to search for me". She ignored Violet's words and still brought her face closer

"I thought you said he's sleeping, and he doesn't easily wake up". Violet asked confused

"Well the part where he doesn't easily wake up is true but is only when he's not keeping watch over me. But as to whether he's in a deep sleep now, i doubt it. That's why I said we should leave silently". Dora shrugged and Violet facepalmed, now she's sure the smile she saw isn't her imagination. And she couldn't help but smile at that, Daniel knew his sister was up to something but he still decided to let her be. She had always wanted a sibling but whenever she brought the idea up with her parents, they'd brush it off and say she is all they need. Though she found it endearing when they tell her that, whenever she is with Dora and Daniel she can't help but want something like theirs. A sibling

"What happened". Violet was brought back from her thoughts with Dora's question.

"Uh?". Violet asked confused

"You seem conflicted with your emotions. First you seemed happy, then sad, then really sad and then you sighed". Dora explained, in well, a way only Dora can explain. What she said wasn't funny but Violet couldn't stop the bubbling laughter in her throat. After her futile attempt to keep it in, she finally let it out in a full blown laughter

Dora's eyes almost popped out of their sockets and she quickly put her hand on Violet's mouth to shut her up then looked behind the tree trunk for any view of her brother. Once she saw the coast was clear, and her brother was still sitted on the tree trunk they left him several feet away, she sat down, removed her hand and gave Violet who was silently giggling a confused glare "why did you suddenly burst out laughing, you almost blew our cover". She hissed

"Sorry, I couldn't help it". Violet giggled while she sighed and waited till Violet was calm

"So tell me". She said the moment Violet was back to normal

"Tell you what, I also don't know why I burst out laughing". Violet said confused

"Not about that, you can laugh all you want whenever". Dora waved her off "I meant what you wanted to tell me before Daniel interrupted". Dora smiled

Violet stared at her still confused before realization hit her. Can Dora be anymore persistent, she thought. Honestly she's not ready to say her feelings definitely not when Daniel isn't that far and could appear anytime soon. "I don't think we should do this now, let's talk about it tomorrow. Let's say, you come over. Afterall Daniel is here already, our parents must be expecting us". She said as she stood up and dusted herself

"What, you can't just leave me hanging till tomorrow!". Dora shrieked "I'll die in suspense, though I already know the answer. Besides Daniel isn't that close, he's several feet away. He can't hear us unless he has super hearing ability, which if he does, I should too, but I don't". She exclaimed

"Dora please not today. And you can't die of suspense. You intentionally give yourself suspense whenever you're reading a novel". Violet pointed out. She really had a bad feeling she'd regret saying her feelings now especially since she's sure Daniel is no where near been asleep

"That's different. Violet please, just tell me now. I can't wait anymore day. Just say it please. Daniel is definitely not here". Dora pleaded as she cupped her palm in hers "pretty please". She pouted

Violet stared at her for a while before sighing and removing her hand away from hers. She prays she won't regret this. Dora can be quite persistent and annoying. "Alright, I'll talk. But it isn't like something you don't know before". She said, and she's right. Violet has a really sharp instinct when she wants to, she is really smart but only shows it when the effort is worth it

Dora squealed and hugged her then broke the hug with a grin "yes!! I'm so gonna plan a wedding" she said dreamily

"Wow wow calm down lady, I haven't even said anything yet". Violet said amused but Dora waved her off

"We both know what you'll say. I've always known, just want you to say it out and finally admit it yourself". Dora smiled and Violet shook her head. Its true she had denied herself the leverage of saying it out because she's scared of making it reality

"So out with it girl, let's make the world know". Dora clapped her hands "I know let me ask the question again for more effect". She grinned then cleared her throat "do you Miss Violeta Anastasia Archakos love my brother Daniel Elijah Devonte and wish to make him your mate?"

Violet shook her head at Dora's scheme but played along "yes, I Miss Violeta Anastasia Archakos love Daniel Elijah Devonte and wish to make him my mate". She said loud and clear. She couldn't deny the sudden calmness she felt almost like a bond was formed between them both and that made her smile wide almost a grin but it soon fell when they had a booming voice behind Dora

"What the hell did you just do". Daniel boomed angrily as he glared at Violet

"Daniel". Dora's eyes went wide. She has never seen her brother this angry before, sure there are times he has gotten angry but never to this extent, in fact it could be said he was annoyed not angry

"W-what do y-you me-an". Violet stuttered scared at his angry. She unknowingly took two steps back at his glare. If his glare could kill, she'd be dead right now

"Daniel, why are you so angry". Dora furrowed her brow as she walked towards her brother but stood in place when he placed his glare on her. She couldn't help but shiver

"Why am I so angry? Do I look angry to you, can't you see I'm as calm as the ocean". He said sarcastically. His voice was indeed calm but one could hear and feel the anger in it

"I- I'm sorry". Violet apologized. She had no idea why she apologized but she could tell that she needed too

"Well sorry can't fix this mess now can it". He mocked

"Daniel". Dora scolded equally glaring at him "you have no right to talk to my friend like that. You can't just come here looking all angry without letting us know why you're angry". She deadpanned walking towards Violet -who looked like she was about falling- to hold her

"So she's the one with right to sprout nonsense from that mouth of hers". He shot back his gaze scanning Violet in mockery. Violet couldn't help but feel digusted in herself the way he looked at her, she had always wanted him to look at her body but with love and admiration not anger and hatred

"Daniel!". Dora boomed angrily shocking both Daniel and Violet, this is the first time they've both seen her this angry

Daniel choosing to ignore her after recovering from his slight shock walked towards them slowly his eyes never leaving Violet's. As much as Violet wanted to removed her gaze, she couldn't, it felt like he pinned her down with it.

Daniel stopped few steps from them eyed her with disgust and hatred clear in his eyes and spoke the sentences that she would forever bear in mind and heart "let me tell you this Miss Violeta Anastasia Archakos, I Daniel Elijah Devonte reject you as my mate with every vein in me, every thing I own and with my soul". In that moment, she gasped as she felt a sudden shock of pain in her chest, like a bond breaking. But he continued anyway "do you really think I'll have the slightest bit of interest in you". He scoffed "sorry to break your heart missy, but I have standards, one you'll never be able to reach". He smirked

"Daniel!!". Dora yelled just as her hand landed on his cheek. She was fuming and one could see her veins almost popping out "just because you have no feelings for her doesn't mean you have the right to downgrade her. She's my friend and no one, I mean no one has the right to do such. You don't like her, fine, you never will, fine but that doesn't mean another person won't.."

Violet stood there in shock at his words. Her mind was in a haze, she couldn't even focus on what Dora was saying. She couldn't stay here, she can't stand been close to him anymore, not after all he said.

"..I don't care if you're my brother Daniel, but I won't ever let you disrespect my friend. Let's go Violet". Dora finished talked and turned towards Violet only to see her gone

Her eyes went wide when she noticed she wasn't by her side. When did she leave. "Violet". She whispered

Her scared gaze went towards Daniel's confused ones. Non of them noticed Violet had gone. Just as she wanted to talk she saw Violet. "Oh no, Violet". She yelled when she noticed Violet running into the thick forest every parent warns their children about

Daniel turned around and saw Violet just as she disappeared inside the forest "shit, not there". He muttered, as his eyes went wide

"You don't say". Dora scoffed glaring at him "if anything happens to my friend Daniel, you might as well forget about me then". She hissed and immediately ran for the forest

"Dora!!". Daniel called after her but it was no use she had already reached the forest. Just as she got to the forest she turned back to him gave a deathly glare and went in. "Shit, what the hell did you just do moron". He hit himself and ran after them as he muttered a quick prayer "please be safe"
