The water around it had already fallen under my control, and effectively rejected the beast from the water it was in. Throwing it up, and out of the water. The beast reached the height of how far it was thrown, and began to come down. I combined air, and lightning into a slash as sharp as any good blade. Slicing up through the large beast so it was cut nearly exactly in half.

Following that attack with black flames so that the beast would not fall on the ship it was heading toward. It was already moving forward before I threw it out of the water, and nothing I did cancelled the beasts forward momentum. I couldn't allow the beast to land on the deck of the ship so I had to destroy what probably would have been a decent meal. The only part I didn't destroy was the core of the beast. I wasn't surprised to find the core was on the small side.

This beast was physically huge, and definitely dangerous in a physical way, but it didn't posses much mana. Mana was linked closely to the core, and allowed creatures to grow larger by offering its support, but it wasn't required for a creature to grow large. I jumped from the water then, and grabbed the beasts core before landing on the deck of the ship not far from where Letty was standing. Letty looked at me with a look that practically screamed, you just had to show off didn't you.

"Forgive my master," Letty bowed, "He tends to get a little excited at the thought of combat."

He was clearly talking to someone that was in charge of the ship.

"Apologies," I tried to sound formal, "That beast was about to ram your ship, and I couldn't allow it."

I tossed the core that was in my grip into the air before catching it easily.

"This should pay for any inconvenience I may have caused you," I tossed the core to Letty.

It was the size of a human head so the motion startled the humans a bit, but Letty caught it with ease before handing it over to the man before him. He was the grizzled type that preferred action over words, and he was highly suspicious, and borderline hostile toward us. The fact that he hadn't attacked already made me think he'd heard of me or my kind before which meant he was well informed. Well informed meant he held some authority.

"Since you haven't shot me yet I believe you've heard of me before?" I cocked my head, "Is there a possibility we could travel together for a short while if we're headed the same direction?"

He eyed me suspiciously, and his emotions went through a dozen different changes in rapid succession. The ships didn't appear to be too badly damaged, but it was clear that they hadn't been on the ocean for very long. The tired wary eyes of the crew fell on me as I stood almost completely still on the deck of their ship. I slowly strode closer to the man. Leaning my head down so I could whisper to him.

"It's clear your men haven't been getting much sleep, and we need somewhere to rest our wings so why don't we take advantage of each other," My whisper was closer to that of a humans regular speaking voice, but my words didn't carry far, and that was exactly what I wanted.

I was a little impressed that the man before me didn't give an inch of ground before the power of a dragon. This was a man that was used to facing near death situations. That made me like him already. The flight was approaching rather quickly now. I glanced up to look at them as I drew my head away from the captain.

"Where are you heading?" He caught my attention with the question.

"We are heading toward the world conference," I answered calmly, "Down in Argentina."

"We are headed that direction as well," he looked up to the flight of wyverns that were slowly coming down on his ships, "Your beasts know how to behave."

"We are at your service for the duration of our time together," I nodded, "Keep in mind that at your service doesn't mean we're under your command."

He nodded to me with a look of suspicion. I could tell he wouldn't trust us, but I didn't need his trust. I needed his cooperation. I didn't get the chance to test that spell. Oh well.

I could try it out later. I snorted casually to myself. I wasn't interested in causing a problem since it gave me back a good amount of mana. It was tiring to spend so much mana on platforms for nearly fifty wyverns every time they needed to rest. Granted I would regenerate that mana in a little under an hour.

I folded my wings in tight to my body, and laid down on the deck of the ship. Aurora, and I put ourselves between the human crew, and the many wyverns that were with us. The fact that many of the wyverns had human, and half human riders interested the crew. Many of them were stealing glances at the group. It was about this time the Schnider woke up.

I didn't think he'd be out for two days. I gave my people a nod. Effectively allowing them to mingle with the other humans. Once Schnider regained his senses, and realized where he was he crossed through the ranks of wyverns. Several of the crew members visibly relaxed when the saw the world governments top military scientist.

I hoped they wouldn't get the wrong idea about Schnider. They were in for a nasty surprise if they got cocky, and started thinking Schnider was in control of our group. The wyverns had permission to hunt anything that attacked the ships so many of them had moved to the edges of the ship, and were looking over the edges for something to hunt. Letty started his training again. Sending me off to kill the biggest threats in the area while he gave Aurora pointers on her healing technique that would allow her to mix modern with the old ways.
