Chapter 16

Yuno wake up in the morning when he felt some weight on top of him and someone poking his cheeks. He open his eyes and he immediately saw two blue eyes staring at him. He then recall his memories from last night and sigh in relief when nothing happen.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Waking you up"

Yuno's eyes twitch when he heard her say that, like it was the obvious answer while looking at him like an idiot.

"Give me a valid reason to not kick you out for disturbing my precious sleep"

"Rascal..." she said with a seductive tone

"It's Yuno"

"I'm hungry"

They stare to each other for a moment before a thick mark form in Yuno's head. He open a lot of portal as he rain her down a lot of weapons made from ice. Esdeath jump from her place as Yuno stood up. Yuno continue to launch weapons to her but Esdeath manage to block or deflect them using a sword which she created using ice.

"Hoh? So you also use Ice. Interesting." said Yuno as he open more portal to launch towards her. Esdeath stump her right foot on the floor as a ice spike made it's way to Yuno.

Yuno just covered his hand with his cold aura and punch the spikes which turn it to dust. Yuno also created a sword with his ice and he instantly vanish from his position just to appear next to Esdeath who swing her sword to her side to block the attack. But the power behind Yuno's attack is too much for her as she flew towards the bed but before she can crash to the bed, she felt a hand on her back and turn to see that Yuno is now supporting her.

"Despite my speed you manage to block that last attack, good fighting instinct."

Before Esdeath could speak, Yuno remove his hand from her back which makes her fall to the bed.

"Why did you not let me crash on the bed earlier? Are you perhaps in love with me?" She said with a sadistic smile on her face.

"Huh? Don't joke around, that's a new bed. Don't want to buy another one" replied Yuno while waving his hand to her to say that he don't want her to ask another stupid question before turning around and started to walk away?

"Hmm? Where are you going?"

"To cook obviously"

"But I thought you won't as you attacked me earlier"

"Ugh, don't ask more question. Just sit and wait"

Esdeath look at his back for a moment before following him to the kitchen. She look at him as he started to wear an apron, Esdeath nod her head on how good looking he is. She just watch him do his thing as she is amazed on how good he is in kitchen. After a few minutes she smell something that makes her stomach go wild, she immediately goes towards the table and sat down.

Yuno finally come out while holding a tray for their breakfast. He make his way towards Esdeath as he put down the tray.

Esdeath look at the food in front of her before looking back to Yuno who's eyes are filled with anticipation and pride while looking at her. She then take a big bite towards the food. Her eyes suddenly become unfocused as she has a blush on her face.

"Ahm~ So gooood~"

'Even Esdeath is vulnerable to my cooking huh, what a terrifying skill.' thought Yuno.

A sudden idea came across his mind as his lips turn to a sadistic smile. He pulled out his phone and started to take a photo of Esdeath face who is still in daze of his food.

Esdeath got out of her daze and look at Yuno to praise his cooking but she just saw a familiar smile across his face while holding phone.

"Heh" Yuno smirk when their eyes met.

"Rascal, delete that." Said Esdeath with a commanding tone

"Don't order me around mongrel."

Yuno chuckle a bit when he saw her getting annoyed.

"Hey, eat your food. It will taste bad if it's cold"

"Tch."

They started eating as Yuno look at her stats.

After they are done eating, Yuno take a bath and wore his school uniform. Looking at himself in the mirror for a minute he then heard Esdeath.

"Rascal.."

"What is it mongrel?"

"Thank you"

"Huh?"

Yuno turn around and look at her with a confused expression.

"You brought me into your home, and you even feed me."

"Don't worry about it"

"I don't know if there is a way to pay you back for your kindness"

"Don't treat me like a savior now, I brought you home because it would be interesting as we are both alone. I know that you have something on your mind and I don't plan to ask because we basically just met."

Yuno unconsciously pat her head as he said those words.

"So? What will you do now? Are you still going to stay here?"

"Yeah. I will."

"That's good to know. I'll go now, I still need to go to school. Wait for me, I'll introduce you to my parents later"

"Alright. Take care"

Yuno turn around and wave his hand before walking away. Esdeath just stand there in silence as she is thinking some things.

A whole morning have passed as Yuno is now walking towards the parking area. When he got inside, he look at his phone and saw some missed call from Raynare. He dial her contact and she pick up instantly.

"Yes my king?"

"Is she there?"

"Yes, I have her in my sights"

"Good, don't do anything until I arrive, just monitor her."

"I will wait for your arrival"

He hanged up and head towards the location she gave him.

Raynare is watching Asia from afar as she is waiting for Yuno. She already told him that Asia is now on her sight and after a minute she suddenly heard a voice in her back which shooks her greatly for not noticing his presence.

"So that's her huh.."

"Y-Yes my king"

"Hn. You should get going soon, she'll be at your church in a minute"

"As you wish"

She sprouts her wings and takes off. Yuno then look on how Issei crashes into Asia.

'Pity that I have to kill you, I just want to get thing to be interesting and for that mongrel on daring to challenge me.. though I wouldn't mind keeping her alive. Rayner will keep her sacred gear and work as my pawn.'

He then started walking towards his car, as he get inside he look at the screen in front of him and can't help but smile.

"Ice and fire huh, what a combination..."

Yuno then started to drove his way to the mountain for a secluded place. After a few minutes he arrive to his destination. He put his car on his inventory as he make his way deep inside the mountain. He then make a thick round ice using his magic for his preparation. After locking himself inside the round ice, he nod in satisfaction.

"I can just go to my domain but that would take a lot of mana, and I don't know what would happen if I use my mana during this process so this is the best way that I can come up with."

He extend his sense around 500 meters and nodded as there is no one in his surrounding.

He tap the ACTIVATE button on his screen and as soon as he tap it. Flood of memories started to assault him as his aura is constantly changing to blue and red. His mana also increase greatly but his ring manage to surpass all of it.

After two hours of suffering, you can see Yuno lying on the ground as he is surrounded by water. The ice that he made was almost melted. His hands and mouth is bleeding as he is gritted his teeth to not lose his consciousness.

Yuno stood up weakly as he remove the ice he made earlier, he then support himself on a nearby tree to avoid falling. Yuno then look at his gains.

He then felt a powerful presence behind him. He turn around and his eyes twitch after seeing the figure in front of him.

"Oh, and who might you be?"

"Your power... it intrigued me"

"Heh. So? Do you have a peerage of your own that you'd like me to join?"

"No, but I'd like to ask you a question"

Ophis was surprised by his instant rejection, Yuno began to leave when she jump in front of him.

"And why would that be?"

"That will kill the fun, I don't want anyone bossing me around. I also like to ask you a question."

"Do you want to join me? Leave that whatever group of yours is and join me."

She seems to think for a bit before giving him an answer.

"No. I have goals and I need that group for it."

"So do I. I have a goals and I don't need to be part of a group."

Ophis just stare at him while having a confused expression.

"Though I don't mind lending you a hand but with a heavy price as my hand is expensive"

"Lending me a hand?"

"That's right. So if you have something to pay me up, meet me again."

But before they can part away, Yuno suddenly extend his hand that has a chocolate bars which he pulled out of his inventory towards her.

"Here. I'll call you Ophis-chan from now on as an exchange for this food"

He then turn around as he didn't wait for her to reply and started to walk away leaving Ophis which starts munching the chocolate with an innocent expression.
