Hide and Seek

The next day...

The heroes were exhausted to the core because of the chaos caused by both Phantasm and Vigilante. If it had been a gang war or alien invasion it would've been far too easy since there are no innocent guys over there but the entire civilian population is involved against the criminals, villains and also corrupt politicians so they could not use brute force or powers as the league would become the enemy for common people.

They only took care of the crimes committed during the riots or revolution happening all over the world.

"You are a real troublemaker host. You can make the world to stand up against crime. Why didn't you use this tactic in Earth-22?" asked system.

"Here anti heroes could rival the heroes so this tactic worked but there justice league has more numbers and the anti heroes are very low in number. That's the reason why league gets to boss around and Batman and Superman start bitching out about "no killing rule"". said Vishal.

"You do have a point. I have already spread a fake video about Vigilante's death in Earth-22 during aircraft disappearance so they know that Vigilante died protecting the passengers of the plane so he could not come to rescue against Orange Lanterns." said the system.

"Wonderful. I bet the people will feel awkward for blaming Vigilante not coming to their rescue." said Vishal.

"Yep. Many of them paid tribute to you in social media saying "R.I.P Vigilante."" said system.

"I bet the league is suspicious about the video as our paranoid Batman won't take it at a face value." said Vishal.

"You know it. They have already got their asses handed over to you so many times so it will be hard for them to believe that you have died. They know you are alive because the magic agreement is not broken." said system.

"Let them be the only ones. As soon as I go back I'll start my recruitment of third faction. I am not leaving people's lives in the hands of either Regime or Insurgence. One will be a dictator and other is a useless moron who refuses to see that his system isn't working and still tells people to believe in it." said Vishal.

"Are you ready, baby?" asked Carla as she came inside the dimension after scouting.

"Yeah. I'll attract the attention of the league and other forces. I'll kill every villain or criminal all over the world to do that. You need to handle things in the facility." said Vishal.

They got over the minuet details of the plan and began the operation.

The monitors in the league tower flickered showing their dreaded nemesis "Vigilante".

Crow Man narrowed his eyes and tried to find if it is being projected all over the world but found that only their systems have been hacked.

"Hello there. Nice to meet you guys again." said Vigilante.

"What do you want, criminal?" shouted Hyper Man.

"Easy there. I have the surviving rogues gallery tied up in different hideouts all over the world. I am in one of the hideouts. You need to find me out before 1 hour otherwise these scumbag's lives are forfeit.

I am not going to give you a clue since the crow over there is too smart for his own good but I will tell you the country I am in." said Vishal.

"I knew he would start acting like a villain." growled Crow Man.

"Nah. If you have an inch of concern towards the common innocent people you can let these morons die but if you wish to save these garbage eating vile scum then I would take it you are in with these rogues." said Vishal.

"You are no judge jury and executioner. You have no right---" Hyper Man started to yell when Vigilante put his hands over the helmet as if to stop a yawn.

"You're damn moral speeches always come out against me or anti heroes but not against the villains or rogues. Why?" asked Vishal.

The league went silent.

Vishal chuckled and said "Yep. You know it's useless against those guys and they show no sign of changing every time again and again. Yet you stand on the belief that they can be changed which lead to the death of more and more innocents. A vicious cycle which lead to the losses of only innocent people or children. In a bid to protect your rule of no killing you have created more orphans like you crow man except they don't have money like you and they would be forced to become criminals themselves."

Vishal knows why Gotham has suffered so much. Especially why the orphans of crime alley resort to crime. There is no system in place to take care of them and show them the right direction. There is no money to feed their stomachs and have a roof over their heads. Poverty is the foremost cause of crime to breed. That's the reason why he decided to improve the Gotham city along side taking down crime lords and rogues gallery. That is one of the reasons why he can never forgive Bruce Wayne/Batman because even after having so much power to change something he focused on squandering his money on women and also his vigilante activities.

"I am in Bludhaven." said Vigilante cutting the feed.

"What should we do?" asked Miracle Woman.

"I feel like we are missing something." said Crow Man.

"We don't have time with your theories Crow. If we don't do anything he is going to kill them. We have another mastermind like Jester who is playing games with us." said Speed.

"He's right. We don't know where he has kept the other people so all we can do is play by his rules." said Mercury Manhunter.

Hyper Man nodded and said "The core members will search the Bludhaven for the place he kept the rogues. You guys be on standby should something unexpected happens."

In the other dimension...

"You are right. They are definitely like the Justice league." said Carla in the dimensional space.

"Well that's to be expected. I have already killed militant groups in Africa, terror groups in middle east and sleeper cells in India. The mafiosos in South America just bones now. All in the span of last 5 hours." said Vishal.

"I didn't know this much change can be done with powers." said Carla astonished

"Well it depends on those who use it right. Power is power. It all depends on how you use it and what you use it for. My methods are harsh and fatal but they bring the desired change and I don't want innocents to live in fear of villains and rogues." said Vishal.

"I know. I understand that 1 shitty villain needs to be put down to save 100 innocents but this is something else. This will mark a new era for this earth." said Carla.

"Mhmm. That's the only way this earth can survive." said Vishal as he saw the heroes scouring every part of Bludhaven.

After 1 hour the heroes found the hideout and saw that the bodies of the rogues have been mutilated.

Crow Man saw a braodcast appear and said "How disappointing. Not only did you try to save the scumbags but also failed at it."

Crow Man could not control his anger and said "Make sure you are hidden safely this time because when I get my hands on you, you're in for a pain in asylum."

"What a joke, stupid crow. I could've killed you all if I wanted. Thank the gods that I did not go on a rampage to kill the heroes. Now enough dawdling, the next location is Chicago." mocked Vishal and feed was cut off.

Vigilante looked at Carla and said "They're going to bring back up. You should start your infiltration." said Vishal.

Carla made her way out and Vishal teleported her a kilometer away from the Superhuman Reformation Institute.

"Let's get the party started." said Carla as she took out a silver device with a crystal on it.
