Wake Up

All I can remember for the last few days was that I was planning on going on a fishing trip with a couple of guy friends when they had to cancel because of something that happened in their apartment building(they all live together in two different apartments).

I had a fight with them saying that they always cancel on me when I plan the trips. So, I got pissed off and went on about going on the trip alone while they were telling me that it might be a bad decision because it could get stormy. There have been storm clouds rolling in, but I ignored them and went anyway without even thinking twice.

Why didn't I listen to them? Some times I'm too stubborn for my own good.

They were right all along. It wasn't a good idea.

I went out and it was raining lightly but I just ignored it while still cursing my buddies under my breath when the first wave comes and rocks my boat. I ignore it. A second one and a third, right after one another. I begin to doubt my decision ever so slightly. I keep feeling violent crashes against the side of my boat but still, get my fishing pole ready.

The tenth wave crashes against the side of my boat and washes up a couple of fish and I say to myself, "Wow, luck must be on my side today." Oh, how wrong I was.

The eleventh wave comes and soaks the deck with salt water. I start to worry about if I should go back when the twelfth wave knocks me off my feet and i hit my head on something. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm too disoriented to care. More waves come crashing at me and I start to panic. I try to calm myself down with lies about how im 'safe'.

I try to stand when another series of waves threaten to drown me on my boat, which ironically is supposed to keep me out of the water.

I start coughing up a storm(heh. puns.), as more waves start to envelop my little ship.

I eventually stand up and get to the wheel of the boat as the waves get more and more violent as each one comes and I hear loud drops above me and on instinct look to the source and immediately regret wasting that much time. The most violent of the waves comes and knocks the cabin roof off and flies off in the distance until it slowly drops into the water whilst knocking me out.

Not more than an hour passes and i manage to wake myself up. But I realize that I'm not on my boat but on a deserted island with chunks of my ship missing...

First chapter and I'm so excited! Hope you enjoy!

Oh, and when I put things in parenthesis, it's my own thought or extra information.
