9 Mr and Mrs Fosters

He placed Serin on the bed, putting a warm blanket on her body. A small kid was watching their every action. Serin also got fever in fear, the female wolf kept a cloth on Serin's forehead, squeezed in salty cold water.

"Is she dead?"

"No no, she's breathing".

"When will she wake up mumma?"

"She's resting dear. I'll make her room and cook something for everyone, let her rest. Don't disturb her okay?"

The little kid is the son of the wolves. That innocent boy kept an eye on Serin. When cloth became warm, he took it and squeezed again the cloth from cold water, and kept it back on her forehead.

They both were alone in the room. After about half an hour, Serin slowly opened her eyes. Her eyebrows met in confusion when she saw the wooden ceiling above her. She tried to feel her surrounding but ended up pushing down the bowl of water. She sat on her place when she realized something felt down on the floor with her hands.

She took the blanket which was covering her body and placed it on the floor to let the water get soaked in it. She picked the bowl and kept it on the small table beside the bed. The small kid kept looking at her, hiding behind the door, afraid of the stranger.

She took a quick glance around her, sitting on the bed and waiting for water to get soaked up completely. Walls were made up of stones and mud, the ceiling was made up of different woods. Room was only lightened with candle lights.

Room was very messy with lots of old books carelessly kept on the floor. The floor was made up of flat stones, polished and they looked beautifully glossy. The wooden wardrobe was across the wall on the right side of the bed. One of its door open, half of its clothes came out falling on the floor, same as those books.

Many toys were messed around her on the bed, and a small boy was looking at hee, standing behind the door, as if he was hiding from Serin.

Serin gasped in puzzlement about many things and looking at the small kid before standing on her place. She takes light steps towards the boy and holds his arms with care. She dragged him inside the room with care and kneeled to his level.

"Who are you? Do you live here? How am I in this room?", Serin asked warmly.

"My name is Cavin Foster. My mom and dad brought you here, this is my room", he spoke with a cute voice.

Serin smiled and was about to ask him who are his mom and dad. She felt thankful to them because she thought they might have saved her from those aliens. She thought she is with humans, but no, she wasn't. She is the same house of wolves who she met earlier in the cave.

They are werewolves who can change themselves in human whenever they want. They eat and live the same as humans. It's impossible to think that they are wolves when they change themselves into humans.

The small kid standing right before her is a wolf too.

"Who are your mo-"

She stopped and looked at the lady who entered inside the room, wearing a pink gown with a maroon apron tied. She guessed the lady might be her mother, and bowed before her in respect.

"My name is Serin, I'm thankful that you saved me from those aliens in that cave"

Cavin and his mother both looked at each other with a blank face. Of course, they don't know what are aliens, as their world is different from Serin's.

"Aliens?", the lady asked. Not sure about Serin's language.

"You don't know aliens? Aliens, those who are different from humans, who don't live on our planet. I mean those wolves who were talking, wolves can't talk like human right?", Serin articulate.

The lady clearly understood what she was talking about. Serin was talking about them, but the lady was puzzling her mind, how to explain about them to her. She feared that Serin will faint away again.

"You might be tired and hungry. Come let's have dinner", the lady smiled and took Serin out with her downstairs.

House was built up with stones, mud and wood panels. A hallway with four different rooms made its way towards the wooden staircase to walk downstairs in the living room. It was two stories high. Living room joint to a wide kitchen with a grand dining table in it.

It was a very old house, she stepped on the wooden staircase and it amazingly held her weight. Inside there was a fireplace, two old blue couch faced parallel to each other, with a wooden old coffee table placed in between them.

"Dinner is ready, come fast", the lady shouted.

Another girl who was elder than the boy came downstairs running. She kept glaring Serin. She is the elder child of the wolves. She knows who Serin is and was hating her to be in their home.

This is the small family of Fosters. Fluent in Korean but aren't from Korea. Neither from this planet, Earth. This another world is known as Artemis, city of the moon. And Serin came to this place unknowingly from the mirror.

The lady with hazel green eyes, healthy white skin and body, with wavy beautiful wine red colour hairs, tied in a bun is Sofia, Sofia Foster. The man with smokey black eyes and same white healthy skin, straight dark brown hairs and a muscular body wearing simple off white shirt with baggy brown pants is Kane Foster.

The elder girl with silver-blue eyes, straight copper brown hairs, same healthy fair skin and a pale body, wearing the same clothes as Sofia is Suzan Foster. And the kid with blonde hairs and charcoal grey eyes, with fair healthy skin and pale body, is Cavin Foster.

"Meet our family, we're Fosters", Sofia introduced.

Serin enjoyed meeting this small family and they all walked towards the kitchen. Serin admired how neat and how big the kitchen was. A big wooden dining table was placed in the middle, it has ten seats. The house gave her old village vibes. Everything in the house wasn't modern, probably everything was handmade and old. There weren't even any lights in the house, it was lightened with only candle lights.

In dinner, there was beef stew, bread, vegetable soup and some rice. After the dinner, Cavin took Serin with him showing Serin her room to stay until the next morning. Her room was same as Cavin's but it was clean and neat, not as messy as his. She sat on the bed and opened the circular small wooden window beside her bed.

Darkness filled everything, there was no light. Only moonlight enlightened everything and Serin was only able to see the forest. No house was visible to her around. Serin asked him if they live in this place here alone, he said they live at the end of their pack so she could only see the forest from the window. Cavin promised to show her the whole pack tomorrow.

Their words and language were little different from Serin's. She thought it would be a different city with a different style of speaking like Busan and other places. Except for Daegu and Seoul, she also never went anywhere else, so she accepted this fact and closed her eyes. Cuddling with her warm blanket, Serin felt asleep.

As the night passed by, cold increased. A day before, the pack was heating like hellfire. But the next morning, the whole pack was covered with white snow under it. Foster family trembled in fear, thinking that their decision of keeping Serin in their home was right or not.

Serin woke up with the Forster family standing beside her bed, wearing warm clothes and looking straight at her. They were curious to know about Serin and from where she came. Mrs Forster gave Serin warm clothes to wear and sat beside her. Serin went into the washroom with mysterious mind about them standing beside her with those looks. She fresh up and changed into the warm clothes Sofia gave to her and walked out of the washroom.

Only Sofia was sitting in the room, rest left the room. Sofia asked Serin to follow her downstairs. Everyone sitting on the couch, we're waiting for Serin. She took her seat and waited for the family to speak. Arrogant Serin was quiet for the first time in her life in front of strangers. She was behaving like a good girl for the first time. It was hard for her to accept what she was doing but it was reality.

Mr Forster asked her about her family and from where she came. Serin introduced herself. She came from Seoul, she's 20 years, her parents are teachers and she came to Daegu for holidays. She explained what happened when she saw the mirror and then she was dragged inside. When she opened her eyes, she was laying on the ground. She explained each and every situation she faced them.

They nodded and Mrs Forster took a deep breath to gather all the courage before speaking. She decided to tell Serin where she is and who they are. She wanted to tell her that they are not any harm to her and wants to send her back to her world. This world is different than hers and the rules are different too.

When the Forster family said Serin about them, unexpectedly the situation was different than what they thought. They expected Serin to faint away and catch the fever again. But no, she didn't do anything from both.

Instead, she was amazed by the fact that she is in another world than her. Serin was bored of her regular same life, but knowing about she is standing in a different place, made her speechless and jaw drop. She was surprised to meet humans for the first who can change really into beautiful big wolves.

She asked them more about their world and they explained. Artemis is their world, name of their planet. They live in the city called the moon. But the people call it as "Artemis, the city of the moon". It is the world where they live, it is a world of their goddess Artemis. Not the goddess Artemis of Greek, child of Zeus and Letto. Their goddess is way a lot different than her.

Nobody has seen her. It's said that only the chosen one by her can go to her place and see her. She lives somewhere in the sky and as the city of the moon, there are many other cities of different planets. It is said, she can do anything she wants, she's stronger with many powers.

Her special powers can heal anyone, give their life back to the dead ones, cure any disease. The people living in the city can also change into animals, different cities have different animals. Artemis can do anything if she wants, but she never helps the one who has bad intentions.

Also, people changing themselves into an animal is just one of the powers she has given to them, commonly everyone, to protect themselves from any danger. Animal of their city is a wolf. Normal people like them do not have a lot of powers. But some people who are chosen by her as their rulers or guiders have a lot of powers. They are known as prince or princess.

People who harm others, or break her rules, or fool others, she does not forgive them easily. She has control over everything. It is a world created by her, a magical world. And Artemis is a capital of this world, named by her, and known as "City Of Moon".

Forster family then introduced about themselves to Serin. Mr Kane Forster is a police officer of their pack. He has to keep watch in every alley and try his best to let anyone commit any crime. If he catches anyone, that person is to be taken to the prince or princess. There is no jail in their world.

The criminal one is either killed or sent to the black island. Black island is the place where everyone fears to go. Nobody has ever come back once he goes there. Except for Artemis, no one knows about the secret of that place.

Mrs Sofia Forster is a housewife. Suzan and Cavin Foster are school students. The school there is different too. It's on the cloud, cloud grey. To go there, students climb up the white hill and go to their school and university.

Students learn making arms and potions in their school and learn using arms and potions in their university. Their study system is far different from the Earths.
