81 Chapter 82 Recruitment

(Hallo it's me, i am back and ready to upload new chapters,

Last week has been stressful, not only did i have a midterm exam but also in that period of time i was sick so i had to adapt, doing the midterm exam while coughing and sneezing like a madman HAHAHAHAHAH)

Location: Medical Ward, 7th Winter Highlands Fortress's Prison

Kurai wakes up and finds himself laying on a bed, with a long tube connected to a bag of healing concoction injected in the veins of his hands

Kurai looks at the ceiling and sighs "i lost didn't i, damn"

"I'll take the lost, i really didn't expect to get hit by Akai's poisonous spit covered claws" said Kurai

Kurai turns to his left and sees an unconscious Corbin Baal, also hooked up to a bag of healing concoction "very fitting, all talk no bite"

Kurai turns to his right to see whether Victor or Akai is also in the same room as them but sees nothing

"Well those two were still conscious when i got knocked out so they must have recovered by now" said Kurai

Kurai unhooks himself from the healing concoction and gets up from his bed, he opens the door and is met with a guard right in front of him

"Prisoner Kurai Himitsuno, now that you have recovered, you are to follow me to the warden's office" said the guard

"For what?" asked Kurai

"You don't have to know" said the guard

"And why is that?" asked Kurai

"You are a prisoner" said the guard

"....Ahhh" said Kurai "ok then, not like i have choice"

Kurai follows the guard to the warden's office

The guard knocks on the door and the door suddenly opens, the guard steps to the side and points at Kurai to enter, which he does

Kurai enters the warden's office and is met with the three heads of the prison, the Head of Staff, the Head of Security, and the Warden himself

"Close the door and take a seat" said the warden

Kurai closes the door and sits in front of them "might i know the reason why i am called here?"

"Execu—" said the Head of Security

"Recruitment!" said the Head of Staff

"You two shut up for a moment" said The Warden "we are not executing anybody in my office"

("These guys are weird" said Kurai "it's best not to be with them for a long period of time" as he silently nods)

"Recruitment?" asked Kurai

"Yes" said The Warden "this is an opportunity granted to you because of your skills"

"The Octagon is not only held to analyze your threat level but also to find people with great skills and potential, from our deliberation, you and prisoner Akai Calex have both qualities, therefore, we have called you here to recruit you to join our ranks"

"If me and Akai Calex are the ones you want to recruit, where's Akai Calex?" asked Kurai

"We have already talked to him" said The Warden

"Did he accept?" asked Kurai

"I'm afraid that's confidential" said The Head of Security

"So he did accept" said Kurai

"What are the benefits?" asked Kurai

"I'm glad you asked" said The Warden...
