KPOP Vol. I - My Favorite Groups

One segment on Annoying Author that I want to write about is about my love for KPOP.

Starting when I discovered it well, because all those who say they met KPOP through Gangnam Style, don't lie, some did get into KPOP, but the majority, like me, only said:

"Ah, interesting, an Asian who sings."

It was four years after Gangnam Style, and a couple of months after watching a REACT YouTube video, that I finally entered the world of KPOP with my favorite group.

It was October 2016, and right on the day it was released, I heard it.

One of the best KPOP songs in history, and the song that introduced me to the different KPOP groups and concepts.

And, yes, my favorite group, who I look forward to making a full comeback in 2025, all seven members together, is BTS.

No matter who came before or who comes after, my favorite KPOP group and maybe favorite musical artist will always be BTS.

Blood Sweat & Tears, Spring Day, I Need U, the Cyphers, Dynamite, Fake Love, Black Swan, Danger (especially the Mo-Blue Mix), Pied Piper, among many others.

Without a doubt, the best for me, and once Jimin, never out.

Then, it is very difficult for me to decide an order, so I will only say who for me falls into the TOP 10 Boy Group along with BTS:

Tomorrow X Together, Stray Kids, Enhypen, ATEEZ, EXO, INFINITE, Super Junior, NCT Dream, and Big Bang.

And my TOP 10 Girl Groups are:

TWICE, BLACKPINK, Red Velvet, aespa, NewJeans, Dreamcatcher, 2NE1, (G)I-DLE, SNSD, and ITZY.

And my top three without a doubt is:

BTS, BTS, and BTS.

Nah, just kidding, it's BTS, then ATEEZ, and finally Dreamcatcher.

That is my top in 2023, although who knows, maybe in a few years, it will change, everyone except BTS, they are solidified in first place forever in my heart.
