Chapter 4: Saturday, September 7 part 2

Zach left the alleyway with the pendant in hand. He was looking at it closely, wondering if this was somehow like those comics that he read where an old man gives the main character a strange pendant with weird markings and he talks about fate a lot. Zach shook his head and slapped himself. No, there/s no way it could be like that! He's just a normal kid that got a normal engraved pendant from a crazy guy that wanted to give him something that he received from a monk in China that he's been holding onto for 50 years! Yeah, totally not like a comic! Zach was observing the pendant, and he thought that the engravings were normal, and the hole in the top made sense (for the leather string), but there was a square hole in the dead center of the circular pendant. That, he thought was strange.

He decided it was nothing and continued on his original path to the school. He didn't think that he'd have to do something like that so early in the morning. Well, let's just hope that he won't run into that gang again. They were easy to take care of, but somehow he just knew that they were going to be those kinds of annoying pricks that never leave you alone. Oh, well, let's go through hell again. Back to school on a day that school was never meant to be held...
