14 Chapter 13: Kuroneko's Trouble

"Did you also join a game-making club?"

As Junichiro puts down his phone, he hears Kayaba question him which is rare in itself. Though, it is probably because games are one of the topics he is interested in.

"Sort of~" Junichiro replied as he cleaned up his desk preparing to leave early.

"If you want to see it, you can come tomorrow to the AV room on our school's third floor," Junichiro nonchalantly said to Kayaba as he shrugged himself.

"I see, I will look at it if I have time," Kayaba replied before resuming his work on his program creating a virtual space inside a computer.

"Well, you will probably be disappointed with the outcome… After all, how could you a stonehearted guy create an eroge as your first VR game? If you really create one, the most probable thing would be that you create that 'school days' thing into VR… " Junichiro whispers in a low voice.

'Now that I imagined it… it would be very terrifying!' Junichiro puts that thought away as he hears a voice.

"Heh… Game Making huh? You boys really like those things huh?"

The one who said this is Kurisu who is sitting on the sofa while reading some books.

"Well, it can't be helped… Boys will be boys after all…" Add Fumino

"Ara~Ara~ Kurisu-Chan and Fumino-Chan don't like games? Hm… But I think I ever see Kurisu-Chan playing that pokemon game on her laptop? I think that her username is Kurigohan and Kamehame-" Tabane said before being interrupted by Kurisu.

"Wh-What are you talking about you must be seeing it wrong! T-Tabane-san, how about you go with me for a while somewhere? Ehm... There is something I want to discuss with you!" Kurisu said that before drawing closer to Tabane.

"Eh? What is it Kurisu-chan? You can talk to me here you know! Everyone's Idol Tabane-chan is ready to help you!" Said Tabane before her left arm is grabbed by Kurisu.

"Just follow me!" Kurisu replied as she dragged Tabane by the arm to the outside.

"EH!?!?!?!??!"

Tabane's screams echo in the room as it turns into that of silence.

"Ahem, well I will also go back to my home, see you all later!" Junichiro said as he went towards the exit.

"See you," x2 said both Kayaba and Rinko in a pair

"Ah? Yes, see you." Fumino followed up.

Junichiro left the clubroom as he went towards one of the hallways in the school. It was then that he found someone familiar.

*Kacha*

That was the sound of her opening the locker for the school's cleaning supplies. She then took out the broom and the mop for the floor.

It was then that the voice of another girl sounded out.

"Gokou-san~," said a girl with blonde hair that wears a hair clip on her hair.

The blonde girl seems to be being waited on by two other girls who can be presumed to be her friend. If Junichiro is not wrong, all three girls are actually his and Ruri's classmates in 2A.

"I'm sorry. We have something to do, so can you take care of everything?" asked the blonde girl to Ruri as it seems that she actually should be cleaning with Ruri.

Ruri paused for a moment before replying with "... I understand."

Hearing her replies, the blonde girl seems to be happy as she then smiled and said:

"Thank you! Take care then~"

She then leaves Ruri alone in the hallway with the cleaning supplies she holds in her arms.

"Fuh…" Ruri exhaled out her breath before she finally started her cleaning job.

After that, the only things that can be heard are only the swaying of the broom and the raindrops from the outside.

Kuroneko then steps toward the stairs as she meets with Junichiro who is standing in the middle of the stairs.

"Huh?" Voices out Ruri as she sees that the feet in front of her didn't move out of the way like a normal person should when they see someone is cleaning.

As she moves up her gaze, she can't help but widen her eyes.

"… What are you doing?" Junichiro asks with no emotions seen on his face as he keeps on blocking the stairs.

"As you can see, I'm cleaning the stairway," replied Ruri as she rolled her eyes toward Junichiro.

"Alone?" asked Junichiro again for confirmation.

"...That makes me irritated. Are you showing pity towards me?" Ruri shouts out as she glares at Junichiro.

"It was the same when you introduced yourself right? Don't you introduce yourself that way so that I will not be the only one who gets sneered at? Mr. Houoin Kyouma?" Ruri added.

Junichiro's eyes widened a bit as He thought: 'She found out? Looks like I'm not really good at hiding things huh? Though, did she become very sensitive to being helped since it reminds her of Kyousuke?'

Junichiro stopped his thought there before he replied: "What are you saying?".

"Don't try to pretend. You're trying to do something, just because you've seen me like this. Why do you have to be so nosy?" Ruri continued her speech to Junichiro.

Junichiro takes a deep breath before saying "I'm sorry you feel that way, I am just… Worried about you… that's all. However, I'm still going to help you and be nosy to you."

Junichiro then stares at Ruri's eyes. He wants her to know that he is sincere in wanting to help her.

"I'm not going to thank you." Replied Ruri as she turned her face away.

"Of course, this is something I have done out of my own free will after all," answer Junichiro back.

Silences then ensued between the two of them. Only the sound of water drops from the rain can be heard before Ruri finally ask the question:

"So… How do you plan to help?"

Hearing this question, Junichiro was taken aback. He suddenly realizes that he doesn't even bring any cleaning supplies with him.

"Ahem, Just wait a minute! I will get back in a while with something that will help us!"

Junichiro then runs back to the Future Gadget Research clubroom.

After a few moments, he arrives at the front of the door as he opens it only to see Kayaba being there. It seems that He is the only person who has not left.

"You're back?"

"Well, I just remembered that I need something!" Junichiro replied back as he went toward his Haro and also the addon kit he prepared a while ago.

When creating Haro, he realizes that only replicating the technology from the system will not be good for him. He will never improve and can only become someone who copies if he never tries to make changes.

Hence, from programming the AI to making the Haro, he creates a new one based on what he learns and not just copying the program he had in his mind.

After all, the Haro technology he has is from all of the Gundam universes.

Some of it used English programming languages like Cobra, Coffee, D++, etc.

Some already use Kanji/Chinese character-based programming language since it has a more expressive programming command and module.

In fact, some even created the AI for Haro using a programming language based on an unknown new language!

From those, he decides to first use the Kanji-based programming Language called "KADO" since this is the most expressive smart programming language specialized for AI that he has mastery in its language: Japanese.

The Haro he makes by himself is different. Though, since he thinks that weaponizing it is not good for now, it doesn't change the fact that he can create it to make his life easier.

This is actually an inspiration from the Strike Gundam. With Haro as the <core>, it has many add ons or <Haro packs> it can combine. From cooking, cleaning, etc.

If even Gundam can change modes, why not Haro?

Of course, the one he needs right now is the cleaning Haro Pack. This pack includes a vacuum cleaner in its hand and a cylinder tube as the container for its waste disposal.

'Funnily enough, when my Haro combines with the cleaning pack, it becomes something similar to R2-D2 from Star wars…. with a vacuum cleaner of course.'

Junichiro thought with a chuckle as he brought his Cleaning Haro outside back to where Ruri is.

It was thanks to some new lightweight alloys that he can carry the thing on his back.

Thought, if he has the time he will probably make it more simple since he didn't have the chance to make a more compact vacuum cleaner like those in modern time and can only use the one from the current old model.

Junichiro finally arrives before Ruri with the green ball + cylinder Haro.

"So that was the thing you said will help us? A vacuum cleaner?" Ask Ruri in a confused tone with a speechless expression.

"It is not just a Vacuum Cleaner! This is my ultimate creation, the Haro Mk.II Cleaning version!" Junichiro introduces with a pose as he shows his Haro to her.

"I remember you wanted to create a Gundam... So, are you going to conquer the world using Haros now?" ask Ruri in a teasing tone.

"Of course not!" Answered Junichiro hurriedly before adding: "Ahem, this is just my initial Journey! With the help of Haro, I will someday create a real Gundam and not just a little green ball robot!"

"Fine, whatever you want. Let's just finish this up faster." Ruri said as she continued to clean the hallway with her broom

"Sure," Junichiro replied as he turned on his Haro and started the cleaning program.

*Tap tap tap

The sound of the keyboard tapping can be heard for a few seconds before Junichiro finally presses the enter button.

The Haro (Cleaning mode) then starts to move and clean the hallway using its vacuum cleaner.

Seeing Haro moving normally, Junichiro closes his laptop before taking his own cleaning supplies and helps Ruri with cleaning the school too. These tools were the thing that he just found when getting his Haro

The two humans and one robot clean the school in harmony.

The thing went well for a few moments before it finally met its nemesis…

*BAM! BOOM! BANG! *

"Haro, Haro, Haro!" Haro scream can be heard below as it fell down.

"Stairs…" Mumble Junichiro

"Pft!!! looks like in the end your weird Haro is unable to help us with the stairs." Says Ruri looking at Haro who fell down the stairs.

Junichiro takes a moment to stare at his Haro that fell down before sighing.

"Well, it can't be helped. Due to the additional weight from its cleaning module, the Haro can only use a wheel to move and not its own legs. With a wheel and a shape that has a high center of gravity, it is not a surprise that it loses its balance when going down the stairs since I have not yet input a program to avoid it."

"I see." Replied Ruri shortly.

"Well, with its own learning capabilities, it will probably only take a moment before it starts to avoid stairs when it is in this form," add Junichiro as he goes down the stairs to take back his Haro to the hallway away from the stairs.

It was good that the Haro shell is made of impact resistance elastic material since it can protect it even when it falls from 5 or more floors.

Though, it was a different thing for the vacuum cleaner that he only modified to be compatible with Haro. Hence, the vacuum cleaner no longer works anymore and can't be used to help them with cleaning the school.

Junichiro can only sigh at this before thinking: 'Damn the company who makes this vacuum cleaner! They must be using inferior materials since their product broke just from falling down through the stairs. I will surely make my own vacuum cleaner in the future so that this doesn't happen anymore!'

The two of them then continue cleaning the school without any advanced technology and can only use the lever mechanism of a broom.

It was not until half an hour later that both finally finished.

As Ruri put her broom and mop back to the locker, she suddenly asked Junichiro behind her:

"You weren't lying about being worried about me. You said that before, right?"

Junichiro was startled for a little bit from her question and answered:

"Ehm right,...I wasn't lying to you"

"Ah? Is that so?" Ruri asked back as she turned her face back to Junichiro.

She stared at his face for a few seconds before returning her gaze to the locker as she says: " … I understand"

"I wasn't lying," Junichiro replied quickly to her.

It is unknown what she sees through his face but he will not take any chances of having a misunderstanding with her.

"Even if it wasn't a lie, have you thought about where these feelings were coming from?" She returned his answer as she stared at him again.

Hearing this, Junichiro can only stop for a moment.

"That's…"

It was something that he can not answer currently. Even if he answers truthfully, there is no way that she gonna believe him.

'If I said that I have liked you since my past life… Will she believe me? Or will she just think that what I said is just nonsense? Though, even if she believes I am reincarnated, she might think I just adore her 2D form and not the real her in front of me…'

"I-I can't answer that for now…" Junichiro said after a moment thinking about it.

"I see…" Ruri said shortly.

Both of them turned silent before Ruri finally spoke up.

"I think that it is late already. I will come back first… Thank you." she said that as she leaves him alone in the hallway.

As she leaves him, Junichiro suddenly remembers about the game-making club meeting tomorrow.

"Hey! The game-making club is having a meeting tomorrow in the AV room. If you are interested, you can join us."

Ruri stops on her step as she hears his invitation. She took a few seconds before replying.

"I see"

After that, she continued to walk back to her home.

Looking at the fading figure of Ruri, Junichiro also returns back to his home with Haro in his hand.

Unknown to the two of them, someone else was there hearing their whole conversation without being noticed.
