11 Merlin's Castle
After I finished reading the message from Merlin, I decided to put the book in my inventory and look around the castle after its restoration!
After leaving the room with the altar, I found myself in a small room where there were various books with strange inscriptions, daggers, vessels with various liquids, and so on. Most likely, this room contains things necessary for various rituals!
I decided not to stay here too long, and explore the other rooms of the castle! After leaving the ritual room, I found myself in a long corridor, which was illuminated by a bright but gentle light coming through large windows decorated with mosaics and frescoes. Walking down the corridor, I found myself in a huge room that looked like a ballroom.
The hall was oval in shape, and Corinthian columns were installed along its perimeter. It had a huge domed glass ceiling, in the center of which hung a huge magnificent chandelier. Walking further through the castle, I found many bedrooms, bathrooms, as well as empty rooms!
On the second floor I found a huge carved door without handles and locks. I was trying to figure out how to get there, but everything was to no avail, so most likely it is related to my 15th birthday.
Walking towards the exit, my system made itself felt and said:
«Master, I advise you to visit the library and then go home since it's already quite late!»
By the way, I still haven't found the library and treasury, but there may be a lot of useful things there. Well, I'll still have the opportunity to look for treasure here, but since the system advised me to go to the library, then most likely there will be something interesting and useful for me.
I wandered around the castle for probably 30 minutes before finding the library, as it was hidden! It turned out that it was disguised, and only when I shouted at the top of my voice about where the damn library was, an ordinary-looking door appeared in front of me. Opening it, I found myself in an endless room full of books and folios!
When I got to the library, a notification appeared in the system:
[Medium, Merlin's book reacts to the environment and shows signs of activity, I ask you to open the book and read a new message]
After taking the book out of the inventory, it began to glow faintly, after which it opened and the text began to appear on it:
"Child, if you are reading this, then you could find a library! This is not a very common library, starting with the fact that it has a search engine. Ending with the various knowledge gathered here over the centuries from all over the world!
There's also a little surprise hidden in it that can really help you, so I advise you to find it first!"
«Tell me why all the old wizards always talk in riddles or don't tell? What prevents them from saying directly that something is lying somewhere, that's just infuriating to the point of impossibility!!!» I shouted into the void.
Well, I'm going to look for what Merlin meant, but I'd still like to know what I'm looking for! I wandered around the library for several hours, and during that time I found a lot of interesting and unusual things! For example: a book made of some unusual leather was constantly moving on the shelf, water was flowing from under another book, but it immediately evaporated, and there was another creepy one from it there was a very gloomy or even dark reddish-gray aura and it giggled nastily.
When I had already decided that I would not find anything here today, I found myself in some part of the round-shaped library. Where in the center there was a huge slightly glowing blue sphere surrounded by metal disks spinning around it. Approaching the sphere, the system issued a notification:
[You have reached one of the places left by Merlin as a legacy, please touch the sphere to get it]
When I touched her, a strange light was absorbed into my body, I felt some kind of lightness, and also as if something new and unusual had appeared in me. Then the system panel appeared in front of me again:
[You have acquired a small pocket dimension that includes the entire territory of Merlin's castle! You have the usual rights, so you can assume that you just got the ability to teleport to any place in the castle that is available to you at any time. To gain full power, you need to reach 15 years of age.
You can bring any people you consider worthy into the dimension. While on the castle grounds, your mana reserve will be restored faster! There are special laws of time in the dimension!]
What an unusual gift I received, and most importantly incredibly useful, because if I suddenly want to raise an army, what do I have, where to hide and train it!
Well, now it's time to go home, otherwise I'll get a huge scolding from Aunt May and Aurora, I already I've been here too long! Therefore, I reluctantly put away my staff and went to the exit of the castle, only then did I realize that I did not know how to get out!
«Tell me, how do I get out of the dimension?»
«Master, you just need to wish and you will find yourself in the same place where you were before coming here!» the system told me.
Then I closed my eyes and wished with all my heart to appear in that house in the forest, and then I felt like I was passing through some kind of film. When I opened my eyes, I was standing in the same place where I was before entering the castle!
After I came to my senses a little bit, I ran home, but after running a few meters I was stopped by a system notification:
[You have discovered the dungeon "Forest of Life" (low)]
What an unusual dungeon, it will be necessary to explore it, but not today, now we must run home! When I got home, the first thing I did was clean myself up before I went in! When I came in, I heard Aunt May scream:
«You little asshole, where have you been!»
«I was walking, Aunt!» I replied to her
«Have you even seen the time!?» Aunt May said, coming out of the kitchen with Aurora.
I saw my aunt coming out of the kitchen with Aurora, and she wanted to say something, but as soon as she saw me, she stopped with her mouth open and her eyes wide open. While Aurora blushes a little and looks away.
I wonder what happened to them?!
