Awakening

I wasn't sure if I should go to that call. But he invited me so much and was so alluring that I succumbed to him. Gradually, walking through the park, I began to go deeper and deeper, until I reached the farthest part of it. Where there were almost never any people and where Aunt May forbade us to go, and especially to go further into the forest.

Realizing that I had to go even further, and I couldn't stop. Because something demanded that I walk as if my life depended on it. Apologizing in my mind to my aunt, I moved into the forest.

I've been walking through the forest for probably an hour now, the call began to grow, which most likely meant approaching my goal! And after some more time, I came to a strange structure. But the main oddity was that the house seemed to be out of this world. It seemed to have been moved here quite recently, as it was not affected by any foliage or moss, which usually covered houses very quickly.

A faint light was visible from the windows of the house, which attracted me incredibly much, I wanted to rush inside and find out what kind of light it was. When I got to the door, I knocked several times, but there was absolute silence indicating that there was no one in the house.

Then I took a chance and slowly started to open the door. When I entered the scrap very quietly, I looked around and was surprised at how empty it was. The house had only an old table, a chair, a small fireplace that had long since died out, as well as a bookcase. There were several books in this bookcase, but one of them gave off a faint golden light that beckoned me.

When I went to the closet, I wanted to take a book, but I couldn't decide because somewhere deep inside me there was a fear of the unknown. And there is also a very strong feeling that if I take up this book, my life will change dramatically. After a couple of minutes, I finally made up my mind and picked up the book to see how its light was slowly disappearing. This book was very simple, it had an ordinary black binding without any words or symbols. When I opened the book, I saw that there was nothing else in it except a couple of lines on the first page.

The text in it was written in a language unknown to me, but surprisingly I could read what was written there:

"You keep the secrets of ancient times inside you

The power hidden deep inside the soul

Become a light in the dark

Let yourself become who you were born to be.

And grant the world wisdom, love and freedom"

After the last word left my mouth, the world lit up with a bright golden light, which made me have to close my eyes. As soon as I could close my eyes, I found myself in a completely different place. I was standing in a small cave from which there was only one tunnel leading into the unknown.

From the tunnel I came out into a large open area from which stood a dilapidated building very similar to the castle of the sorcerer from the legends. I decided that I had nothing more to lose, I was already dying once, it wasn't scary anymore, I went to this castle. When I walked through the castle, which was left in ruins, and only frescoes, mosaics and various amazing columns preserved in the dust of time reminded me of its former beauty.

Walking through the castle, that call began to grow and lead me somewhere deep into these ruins. When they reached the perfectly preserved doors, from under which a faint golden light could be seen, this strange feeling, given to the description, stopped. Entering the room behind the doors, I found myself in a strange room with a bunch of different symbols and signs on the floor and walls. And in the center stood a strange monument on which was placed a perfectly shaped ball glowing with a dim golden light.

And the moment I saw this ball, my body stopped obeying me and I very slowly, as if mesmerized, began to move towards it. Approaching him, I gently touched the ball with a shaking hand and the moment I touched it, the world exploded with various colors. I experienced such a storm of different emotions that I lost consciousness.

POV from a third person

The moment Daniel touched the ball, he emitted an extraordinary amount of golden light. And at the same moment, Daniel lost consciousness and began to sink to the ground, but he was caught by a golden light that began to take the form of a man.

When the light took shape, he looked like an elderly man in an unusual robe and hat, like a witch. He had an incredibly exhausted but kind face. But his most important feature were his eyes-eyes full of mystery and power. Their depth and brightness attracted the eyes of others and did not leave anyone indifferent. It seemed that the secrets of the worlds and unfathomable wisdom were hidden in his every glance. Dark, almost black, they seemed to have an uncanny ability to see through the surface and reveal people's true intentions.

He looked at the boy in his arms and he said:

"What an extraordinarily beautiful and innocent child that even I can't control myself properly and want to protect him! I wonder how he was able to find this place?" the old man said and said something in an incomprehensible language while looking at the child.

"Oh, oh, oh," he laughed, "How incredible! I thought it was impossible, but no, here it is. He has an incredibly pure soul, a terrifying unawakened bloodline, and a colossal amount of magic." the man spoke out, not believing in what was happening!

"He deserves to be my heir! He will be able to purify this dark world with the light bestowed by his bloodline."

After the man said all this, he began to cast many spells, so that candles lit up in the room, and the runes on the floor and walls lit up with an unusual, scarlet and blue light. He placed Daniel next to the ball, which appeared on the table as if out of thin air. And he began to pronounce a lot of different words very quickly.

When he finished, all the symbols and the ball lit up, and from them a charming golden light reached out to Daniel, enveloping him as if in a cocoon!

"Child, you will become my heir! Merlin's heir! I will give you everything I have, even what I miraculously managed to get in the last year of my life."

He stretched out his hands to his chest and a large ball of golden light separated from it, in the center of which a blue ball shone brightly. Placing this ball in a cocoon with a child, he said.

"I've done my best, but I have to go. I will also leave this land to you and rebuild the castle."

After saying these words, he began to disappear and connect with the light that surrounded the child. When he completely disappeared, the very book that brought him here remained in his place.

After a certain amount of time, Daniel began to float in the air. And the light began to merge with him, when he was completely absorbed, the child shone, and behind him appeared the image of magnificent large wings. When the light disappeared, Daniel sank back onto the table and you could hear his calm breathing, he was asleep.
