"Um Kageyama, why is Haruto just staring out the window while chanting some sort of words?..."

"Maybe some kind of pre-game ritual?"

Kageyama and Hinata can be seen whispering to each other on the bus making their way back to Sendai City Gymnasium for the game against Aoba Johsai.

"I guess he really wants to focus on the game today." Sugawara laughed as he overheard their whispering and the two nodded their heads as that what was probably happening. But it was way off from what they thought.

'The legendary lap pillow…'

Haruto was thinking back to yesterday after dinner as he seemed to have dozed off after eating a big meal. He dreamt that he was sleeping on some soft clouds and snuggled into them until he heard a quiet sound that made him open his eyes.

Haruto saw Mahiru with a small blush on her face as she felt ticklish from Haruto's hair as he moved his head around. Seeing Mahiru as he woke up was surely a surprise but what caught him off guard wasn't Mahiru's face.

As Haruto looked up from his position, he was able to see some twin mountains enter his vision. Although he sees Mahiru everyday for dinner she always wears modest clothes and Haruto had never really put any mind to her figure.

However seeing her up close he was able to confirm that although she was slim she had abundant curves in the right places…

'Mountains… Nonono bonk bad thoughts away.'

Haruto shook his head and took a deep breath in. He was even more fired up for the game now as he has received the legendary powerup known as a lab pillow.

"LET'S HAVE A GOOD GAME!"

The spectators began to cheer as both teams greeted each other to start off the match between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai. The teams returned back to their benches and quickly talked before heading out.

"Luckily we got the first serve so the line up will stay the same. Just make sure to watch out for their setter as he is able to provide his hitters with opportunities to hit powerful spikes."

Ukai said giving advice to the members. Kageyama made a small frown listening to Ukai and glanced at the other side of the net looking at Oikawa.

The short break before the match ended and both teams made their way onto the court and got into their positions.

The ref blew the whistle and Asahi did his serve and it crossed over the net leading straight towards their libero. They got the pass perfectly, giving Oikawa a ball to use to his own liking.

'Iwa-chan start us off with a bang alright.'

As Oikawa started to jump and set the ball, their middle began to run up to prepare to spike a quick and as he was in the air Oikawa set the ball close to the tip of his hands.

Tsukishima jumped up to try and block the quick but he failed to notice that the ball was a bit higher than the middle peak spike. It passed the middle and made its way to Iwaizumi, being a tempo set he was already approaching the ball and smashed it down cross court while Kageyama tried to block it.

Haruto saw the cross and quickly shuffled his feet to quickly get under the ball. His forearms were able to contact the ball but as the spike was a bit far up, he was only able to get the ball up and not directly to the setter.

"I got it!" Kageyama rushed to get under the ball and tried to give a high toss to him but stopped after seeing his gaze.

He felt it and Haruto jumped early and in the air Kageyama shot the ball towards Haruto's peak and he smashed the ball over the blockers as they were late to react.

"You annoying brats." Oikawa had veins pop out of his head as he saw how the two of them scored the point.

"It was enough having one person use that freak set but two is too much.." He grumbled to himself as he watched the game between Karasuno and Date tech yesterday to see how they played and cursed as he saw Haruto and Hinata do that weird quick.

After celebrating their first point Asahi did his serve again and it was a repeat of what happened again. They got a pass in but Oikawa jumped up catching the blockers off guard as he rotated his body to directly spike the ball earning a point.

"My annoyance got a bit better now. You guys need to stop spacing out, you know." Oikawa spoke to himself before smirking towards the other side of the net.

The three people at the front felt their eyebrows twitch and felt the need to beat him up somehow.

The score was now [1-1] and the intense matchup between the two teams continued to not allow for either side to one up each other.

"Woah.. did you see that girl."

"Yeah..she's beautiful. Do you think she has a boyfriend?"

Whispers can be heard as two girls are seen navigating through the large gymnasium, trying to get to the spectator area to watch the volleyball game that was currently happening.

"Umm Shiina, are you sure that the game is this way?"

"I'm pretty sure since that's what the front desk said."

Mahiru replied to Yachi who was following behind her. Before Yachi came here she was surprised by the sudden invitation she got through text, to see if she wanted to watch the boy's volleyball team play at the Sendai Gymnasium with Mahiru.

Yachi said yes in a fluster and went along with Mahiru to the gymnasium. She felt the stares that were being thrown towards Mahiru and was suddenly feeling tense as it felt a bit awkward also being glanced at.

They were able to make their way up to the viewing area and saw Karasuno on the court.

"Kyahh Oikawa, good serve!"

Mahiru and Yachi got startled by the sudden cheers and saw the other team opposite of Karasuno one person was bouncing the ball getting ready to serve.

'He's putting all his focus on the person serving right now.' Mahiru thought in her head as she saw Haruto gazing steadily at Oikawa getting ready to receive the ball.

The middle who is Hinata and Asahi in the front are both out of the serve reception. Haruto, Daichi and Nishinoya were the three people in the back and were in a bowl formation so they could cover the most area to pass the serve.

Oikawa continued to bounce the ball and stopped before throwing it up and blasting it across the net. The ball then made its way towards the space between Haruto and Nishinoya.

Haruto was about to shuffle his feet but saw Nishinoya and decided to let him get the ball so that he could prepare to hit the ball instead of passing. He backed off and allowed Nishinoya to perfectly pass the ball.

Hinata ran back before jumping up in the air baiting the blockers giving Haruto the chance to do a strong back row attack giving them a point.

"Yes Haruto!" Mahiru quietly exclaimed as she saw Haruto score a point for the team. She looked at the score and saw that it was [16-19] with Aoba Johsai leading with 3 points.

"That will rip my arms off if I ever touch that ball..." Yachi shivered as she saw the speed the ball was going and was wondering how that short guy on the court was able to pass that ball.

Mahiru giggled and focused her attention back to the game. The set continued and the rallies began to show the speed of Aoba Johsai's blockers, causing Kageyama to become slightly flustered.

"Touch!" Iwaizumi yelled out as he touched the ball Haruto hit, making it easier for them to pass. Haruto clicked his tongue and continued to look at his opponents looking for something while also noticing that the set he got was getting quicker than usual.

Kageyama began to frown as he felt that he needed to give his sets faster than usual to get past the blockers.

Aoba Johsai passed the ball and Oikawa glanced at the blockers and jumped up attempting to hit the ball like he did before.

This caused Tsukishima and Kageyama to jump but instead of hitting, Oikawa set the ball beside him, giving a quick set to his opposite hitter.

The set went by really fast but luckily Haruto got his fingers to skim the ball as he jumped making it go up in the air instead of speeding towards the ground.

Nishinoya got the cover and Kageyama felt the presence of the blockers causing him to set the ball fast to Tsukishima making a mismatch.

"Argg" Asahi quickly punched the ball trying to get it over and was able to do so. This gave them a free ball.

Oikawa used this chance to set a quick to the middle causing him to smash the ball cross court earning them another point..

The ref waved his arm to Aoba Johsai's side giving them the point.

"Sugawara come here. '' Ukai said and looked at the scoreboard.

It was [18-20] with Aoba Johsai leading by 2 points.
