*Huff Huff

Early in the morning a figure can be seen doing pull ups in the park. He was on his way to finish 25 and then stopped. Getting down from the bar he went up to the tree where he left his items and got a water bottle out of his bag. After getting his sip of water he began stretches for his shoulder to help improve his shoulder flexibility. Doing his reps he noticed that the range of motion of his shoulders seemed to have increased by a decent amount.

"Oh looks like my month of hard work has finally paid off." He was surprised but very much happy that his training provided results. At the start of the school year Haruto has been brainstorming on how to increase his spiking power. The transition in levels from junior high to highschool is apparent as you will now be facing older, taller and more stronger players.

Haruto figured since he wasn't born with natural overwhelming power he can make his body bring out power with flexibility and mobility. By using his shoulder, spine, elbow and wrist he can turn his body into a whip and use that built up momentum into his spikes.

"I just need to have Kageyama give me a few tosses so that I can incorporate and adjust this into my spikes.." after a while he snapped out of his thoughts and began to finish his morning workout preparing for the upcoming practice match.

Arriving home he quickly cleaned up and heard his phone ringing. He picked it up and saw the name, his gaze hardened and took a deep breath and pressed accept.

"Hey Akane what's up? Do you need something?"

"Why do you assume that I need something when I called? I can't talk to my brother if I don't need anything?" I heard her voice turn sour. Well I can't blame myself since majority of the time she has called me was for me to do her events in her games or to help her do coop to farm some bosses. Her reason for wanting to get all that armor and weapons from those elder dragons is beyond me..

We continued to bicker which was the usual. She asked me whether or not I was keeping my place clean and I just kept silent. She said that will come to visit sometime to see how I was living but I just took it at face value as my sister is very lazy and I don't think she would actually travel that far. Finally she told me the reason why she called.

"How is the volleyball team at Karasuno?"

When I heard her ask this question softly I smiled. "It is very fun. I met tons of people and they are some unique individuals on the team. There is a setter that wants to play volleyball all by himself, a midget that has too much energy, a lanky guy that loves to provoke people and many others."

On the other side of the phone Akane heard his response and stories about his teammates and she wore a gentle smile on her face.

"Well it seems like you're having tons of fun over there. Bowl head is crying tears every time he attends practice but he always goes on and on about wanting to beat you and the ace on his team. Well I can't blame him since my team's practice is just as brutal haaah.."

"Haha Tsutomu seems to be working hard. Tell him tha-." I froze mid sentence and slowly took in what Akane just said. I looked at my phone and rubbed my ears wanting to see if I heard right. "Hello Haruto, are you there? You froze mid sentence."

"Akane, can you repeat what you said?"

"What? That bowl head was crying tears?"

"No, the last part…"

"Hm? That my team's practice was just as bad."

"You joined the volleyball team at your school?"

"Oh yeah I forgot to mention I did. The captain was really persistent so I just joined."

"You joined the team?" still not understanding if I heard right. "You, the most lazy person that I know, one who is afraid of going outside and touching grass. You who would look me straight in the eyes and say "exercise? What is that is it a food that I can eat" joined a sports team?"

On the other side of the phone Akane wore a huge frown and veins started to appear on her forehead.

And the daily bickering of the Watanabe siblings began its second round.

Walking over to my angelic neighbor's door I was holding the food container that she gave yesterday all washed up and clean. Ringing the doorbell I waited a few seconds and the door opened to reveal Mahiru wearing a beautiful blue home dress.

"Here I wanted to give back the container from yesterday. Thanks again, the food was delicious."

"Why don't you look at that, you clean the container huh?" She glanced at the clean container in my hands as I was giving it back to her.

I rolled my eyes at her sentence. I can at least have the dignity of at least cleaning the container before giving it back. Holding the container she put it aside and gave me a new one that was still warm.

"Here is for tonight's dinner" I held the new container and looked at her with a questioning gaze. She saw the question marks above my head.

"I just made some extras and I don't know what to do with it. Oh yeah, you don't have any allergies right. Don't misunderstand though I just didn't want to give you food that you were allergic to."

"I don't have any allergies but that besides the point I can't accept your food again." I feel guilty taking advantage of her and stealing a portion of her food that she could be eating.

"You don't need to worry again, I just made too much again. Like yesterday you can throw it out if you don't want to eat it." She said coolly.

I looked at her and back at the container. 'I wonder why she's doing this for me.. Does she like me?' I looked back at her and saw her eyes turn cold, seemingly knowing what I was thinking. Yea she's probably just feeling sorry for me by the way I was eating.

"Haah do you mind and stop staring at me with those eyes. I know that I misunderstood your actions."

"Oh it seems like you're pretty smart. You can give me back the container tomorrow and get another one." She said in a plain tone as if she was giving instructions to a child.

"You know you're not very warm and cute for being called an angel at school." I grumbled.

"Really? But I always hear from people that I'm pretty cute. Maybe you need to check with your doctor to get your eyes checked."

I scoffed at her banter but I was able to catch a glimpse of her cheeks getting slightly rose in color. Hmm I think I found a weakness. I thanked her again for the food and went back to my apartment. Over the course of the next few days we exchanged containers and I was given a warm meal for dinner each time.

Walking home from practice I was with Kageyama and Hinata. They wanted to go to my house so that they could get a copy of the volleyball magazine I had stored up over the years. Reaching my door I opened and the duo were shocked by what they saw.

"Haruto! You need to quickly call the police. I think someone broke into your house and made a mess of your place!"

"Don't worry Hinata, I already started to dial the number.."

"Stoppp Stopp! No one broke into my house. It's just that my place is a little messy"

The both of them looked at me and scanned around the house seeing the various bottles, empty containers and clothing scattered. They looked back at me.

""This is a little messy?"" with genuine confusion at my words. I was slightly embarrassed by their stares as it started to hurt a bit too much. I looked at my place and an idea popped in my head. I grabbed them by the shoulder and had a small smile on my face.

"I guess my place is a bit messy huh.. Since you're here can you help me clean up a bit?" I said feeling no shame in my words. The two stiffened and quickly got out of my grasp and rushed to the door.

"I have a video of Oikawa playing a match against some college players." Kageyama suddenly stopped. "I also have some magazines that feature the Little Giant in them, it would be a shame if I threw them out.." Hinata also stopped.

'HEHE gotcha now' once again feeling no shame with my bribes.

Okay my bribes seemed to have worked a bit as they were able to help me pick up the majority of my clothes and stack some of the magazines I had lying around but when I said that I wanted to also clean the floor, they escaped saying that they had family business to attend to.

'Haaah' I began to sigh and made my way over to the supermarket to buy some cleaning supplies. I wanted to get some floor cleaner so that I can wash my floors. I picked up two bottles and stared at them..

Yeah I have zero clue which one to get.

"Get the one yellow if you're going to clean your floor or get the blue for your windows" Hearing someone behind me I turned around and Mahiru was right there holding a bag. I quickly backed away, confusing her.

"If you want to talk to me you can just ring my doorbell but you don't have to stalk me." I said in a defensive tone. Hearing my sentence her gaze turned cold and then scoffed.

"Who's stalking who? Is your protein bar diet finally affecting your head giving you these delusions?" Continuing our usual banter I asked her some further questions and she gave me some advice on what to do.

I went to the check up to buy my items when I saw her walking away carrying her heavy bag. I felt guilty seeing this as I felt like she bought some extra groceries since she started to cook me dinner. I went up to her and tapped her shoulder and she turned around. I held out my hand and she quickly backed away acting like I was going to rob her of her groceries.

My eyebrow twitched looking at this scene and felt like she was taking revenge from what happened earlier. "Let me help carry it for you."

"You don't need to worry about this. I can carry it by myself just fine" She told me but I was able to see her struggling slightly. I sighed and quickly got her bags before she could resist. "Just accept my kindness, I feel bad since you started feeding me. You had to buy more groceries so at least allow me to carry these bags for you."

"No I just wanted to stock up since there was a sale so I just got more ingredients recently" She retorted back. I ignored her words and told her to hurry up. Walking a few steps behind me she gave a warm smile while she whispered "Thank you..".

What is this cute creature ahhhh. I wanted to add a bit of slice of life in this chapter showing more of his interactions with his sister since it's been a while since she appeared. Don't worry, the volleyball portion is going to come soon and we will see how Haruto and the rest will play for the first time in a real match so bare with the romance a bit longer. Peacu!
