Looking at the screen, Max felt the hairs on his body stand up as the bar of soap slipped out of his hand. And he asked in a trembling voice.
"Y-You mean m-my life i-s in d-danger?"
«Yes!» He heard the system's sweet and pleasant voice.
When he thought that everything was back on the right track, he had a bad day. But who could have thought it would deteriorate to this extent?

Realising his dire circumstances, he decided to get out of the place first.
Max quietly moved without making a noise, planning to sneak out the house.

Max heard Rolv's voice, which seemed to be sinister to his ears after he discovered his true face.
Without giving it much of a thought, he activated his only self created skill, «Sprint» and dashed out of the servant quarter, while cursing at the system for scaring him, 'Damn it, you useless thing. If I die today and Humanity is destroyed, it's all your fault. Remember it!'

Max begun to ran even faster and felt his body go beyond its limit as he heard an alert.

He heard a cracking sound as he flew over the nearby wall and entered a house, shattering its window glass.
Lying on the ground, he twitched in pain as blood oozed out of his broken skin. He found a glass shard piercing his left leg and he was losing blood at a rapid rate.
Max saw Rolv enter through the window with a face flushed red and veins popping out of it.
"You have got a toxic tongue, brat. Don't worry, I won't let you die until you beg for it yourself." He spoke as a disgusting smile stretched out on his face.
"Yeah! you were saying something about being treated as family. You really expect me to take that shit? That day, when I was powerless, your father took advantage of my weakness and made me your family's slave. But now, I no longer need to worry about it. They promised me, as long as I can lure your parents out, they will give me enough power to kill your father. After that, I will kill each of those old bastards of the association, hahaha!!!"
Max saw him go crazy as his eyes lost all light in his hatred.
He stared at Rolv with those eyes of his and even at the end of his life, he couldn't feel any hatred for that Man, but only pity.
What kind of life did he live for him to lose himself in his hatred?
Max closed his eyes, accepted his fate, even though he was supposed to go against that. But even after a while, nothing happened.
