Chapter One

Shenjing Forest

The entire landscape was covered in seductive purple mist as the heavens were bathed in the scattered stars and splattered watercolours.

Down at the Thousand Carps Creek, where yellow tourmaline, pink diamond and charoite purple trees gently swayed against the evening spring breeze. An astoundingly captivating young woman was sitting on a small bridge with her dainty feet splashing in the stream.

Clothed in a spotless purple fairy dress, Wu Yingtai was cooling off her feet while she enjoyed the scenery.

Azure carps swam around her ankles, gently stroking their fins against her.

Suddenly the tranquil scenery became stagnant as the air froze before a vibration shook the ground.

The carps startled, scattered and hid beneath the riverbed, unwilling to come out.

Wu Yingtai, eyes shifted slightly, she slowly stood up, those flawless little feet didn't have a single drop of water on them. Unhurriedly she put on her shoes before straightening out her clothes.

The thundering sound of footsteps and the clangorous exclamations echoed through the forest, causing the air to tremble slightly.

'Fei Hong, stop right there for me!'

Not before long, several white-clad figures appeared from the dense forestry, a young man who was being chased led the group of four.

'Haha, why should I stop, to let you beat me up?! You dare steal this young master's things, I was only taking back what's mine along with some interest, stop chasing me already!' A clear voice of a young man exclaimed in slight anger.

Wu Yingtai tilted her head as she watched the chaos, just a group of kids, and they managed to break through her barrier enchantment?

Fei Hong had been glancing behind his shoulder all this time, hence when he turned around to look in front of him, he nearly tripped over.

A fairy?!

Due to the distraction, Fei Hong had slightly stumbled, causing one of the men behind to quickly grab him by the collar before throwing Fei Hong to the ground.

Bang!

'Ouch!'

Fei Hong found himself heavily crushed down onto the dirt, and not a second later surrounded from all sides.

He colourfully swore and was about to leap back up but was kicked down by one of the men.

'Fei Hong, if I don't get rid of you today, I'll call you dad!' Then the men started attacking him with their spiritual powers.

Ice, fire, wind and water erupted, causing the forest to tremble in distaste.

Wu Yingtai who'd been watching on the side pursed her lips, the words of her teacher for some unknown reason tingled through her mind.

[You better get a disciple soon, else don't blame your master for finding a marriage partner for you! So old already and still living at home, do you think I can feed you forever?!]

One of these kids must've been the ones who had broken through her enchantment. Judging by the looks of it, it might've been that young man who's getting beaten on the ground.

Since one of them could break the barrier enchantment, wouldn't he be the perfect candidate in becoming her direct disciple?

Wu Yingtai made a hand motion before a transparent white light covered the body of Fei Hong, preventing him from getting hurt from the attacks.

Anyways even if it wasn't him, it's better to inspect them one by one before making a judgement.

The four men who had been attacking Fei Hong realised after some time that something was wrong. Well, they should've noticed earlier as Fei Hong was directly looking at them without making a sound.

Their attacks hadn't been physical, after all they could use their spiritual powers, why would they hurt their fists beating him up?

Although their cultivations weren't as impressive as Fei Hong's, as a group, it was enough to take him down. Hence even if their attacks weren't as powerful as Fei Hong, he should at least flinch, and his hair should be slightly more scorched from the fire attack!

There wasn't any new bruise forming on this devil, did he have some sort of magical artefact that protected him?

The quartet blinked as they paused their attacks, causing Fei Hong to slowly smile as he unhurriedly stood up, provoking the group to take a step back.

Fei Hong, this guy, is really abnormal, how many life-saving treasures does he actually have?! Wouldn't it be a loss if they fight him head-on?

Panicking, the quartet looked at each other in understanding, before they turned around, attempting to flee.

Alas, they found themselves unable to move.

The four men looked at Fei Hong in horror, what witchcraft did he cast?!

Suddenly the five men found themselves lining up in a row, even Fei Hong wasn't let off. Everything happened too quickly, causing them to become slightly dizzy.

They ended up facing a gorgeous woman who was looking at them as if she was picking some vegetables from the market.

How had they not noticed a fully grown woman all this time?!

Wait so, it wasn't Fei Hong who was controlling them, but this little fairy? Also, why do they feel that she looks familiar?

Wu Yingtai scrutinised each of them one by one before her gaze settled on Fei Hong. There, a slight ripple appeared in her eyes, this little boy actually has the Heavenly Thunder Veins?

Wu Yingtai suddenly narrowed her eyes when she noticed the extremely faint but still visible dark mist that enveloped the boy's body. Her body flashed, instantly appearing before Fei Hong.

Taking a sniff, her eyes darkened, before a long sword flashed into her hand.

Demon.

This boy has the scent of a demon.

Fei Hong's eyes widened. Previously he had become nervous when he saw such a stunning face up close, however, when he heard the warning shout inside his mind, his face paled.

Holy crap was this little beauty planning to murder him?! She just took a sniff at him earlier; don't tell him she's offended by his scent?! Shouldn't he be the one offended from her action?!

But that isn't right, that man told him that this woman had been protecting him just now, so why does she want to kill him all of a sudden?!

Wu Yingtai took three steps back before pointing the sword at Fei Hong's nose. 'If you don't want the vessel to perish, then get out here.'

An intense tension suddenly surfaces, suffocating the atmosphere, causing the five men to tremble, collapsing onto the floor and having difficulty gasping for air.

Beads of sweat broke out on Fei Hong's forehead, he had been informed by that man that she was a Demi-God. Was this the spiritual pressure of a Demi-God, why does he feel like it's not as impressive as he had initially thought?

For someone as small as him, he'd thought he would have exploded into pieces.

Suddenly Fei Hong felt a shift in his soul, then blacked out.

Wu Yingtai unemotionally watched the demon emerge. The once clear chestnut eyes of the young man were replaced by stunning tourmaline yellow hues that were similar to hers. 'My, my, it's been such a long time since I've last been called out like this.'

Mo Chou smiled and stood up, utterly unaffected by the pressure Wu Yingtai was giving off. An enchanting ambience enveloped the air, adding to the intimidation, it seemed as if there were two forces in the air, caressing each other; testing the other's strength.

Wu Yingtai made no movement as she examined him. He must've been the one who broke her barrier enchantment, that boy Fei Hong didn't have enough spiritual powers to do it.

Mo Chou chuckled as he clicked his tongue. 'Tut, tut, you don't need to get all fierce on me, I mean no harm, really.' He gently tapped the tip of her sword with his finger.

'Who are you?' Wu Yingtai didn't withdraw her blade as she asked.

Mo Chou's smile became even more dazzling. 'My name is Mo Chou, it's a pleasure to meet you, pretty little Demi-God~.'

Well hello there! Hope you'll enjoy this one too!
