24 He doesn't deserve you

Aida stared at Kehlani in wide-eyed shock. Her brain was still trying to process what she had just heard. The couple of the year had broken up? The couple that everyone had concluded would be the first to get married in their department was no longer together. She found it very hard to believe.

"If I heard you quite alright, you said both of you are no longer together?" Aida asked, still recovering from the shock. "Why? How? What happened?"

"Because he's a fucking liar and cheater!" Kehlani yelled out and tears ran down her cheeks in torrents. Aida got up from her seat and held her best friend in a tight embrace. Her arms wrapped around Kehlani's head whilst Kehlani wrapped her arms tightly around Aida's waist and buried her face in Aida's shirt wetting it with her tears.

Aida gently patted her back whilst she sobbed uncontrollably. "Everything is going to be okay," Aida assured her.
