Chapter 12: Alternate Multiversal Chat, Once Again

Everyone has received 100 MP (Multiversal Points) per daily login, the currency of this chat that allows them to buy things in the store.

A screen similar to those that appeared when this chat first started greeted me, so I hurried to send a message.

The Tag-along (Admin): Hello everyone, I assume that we all received some kind of reward from this chat, and that was enough to convince everyone that we are in the same situation and that there is no reason to try to attack us with each other, right?

The Tag-along (Admin): OK, with the tacit non-aggression agreement closed and leaving aside the fact that I'll probably have nightmares thanks to Leone-san, I wanted to pass on something a little less important, so far we've all seen each other the face, but only three of us have said our names and two the place where we live, while I was checking this chat the last time we spoke I discovered that we could change the nicknames that the chat gave us, you just have to select options and change the name, with that said, I would like to at least know the names of the other members of the chat, so I will introduce myself once again.

When I finished reading Ling Yao's presentation I felt something strange, even though it was only through text, for some reason he seemed considerably more relaxed than the last time we had talked on the video call.

For some unknown reason, after the introduction of the blue-haired maid, I realized something, a detail that caught my attention when Ling Yao introduced himself, and with Rem it had been confirmed.

In some way that I didn't understand, this chat not only conveyed what we wanted to say in text form, but it also gave us, or at least me, the ability to "feel" the form or mood in which the other members expressed themselves.

Kyuijin was relaxed and childish, Leone confident but still a little on guard, which was probably the reason why she didn't say the name of the country or city where she lived.

Ling Yao on the other hand, gave me a similar feeling to Kyujin, but without the childish part, and Rem's was like a professional but dry way of introducing herself.

With those four finishing their "greeting" there was only one last person left.

Unfortunate Princess has changed her name to Ana Estuardo!

Ana Estuardo: My full name is Enriqueta Ana Estuardo, you can call me Ana or Ana Estuardo, and I live in the capital of the Kingdom of Tristain.

And lastly, Ana's presentation felt like she was the most nervous of all of us, and to be completely honest, I didn't blame her, during the video call she seemed to be the most affected by the sight of the dolls.

So, if I had to bet, I'd say either her fantasy world is relatively peaceful, or she's been overprotected for most of her life, although if she was a real princess as her previous title suggested, then this might make some sense.

Kaname Ryuichi: Very well, with that said I have to go, for those who have not noticed, there is an option on the upper left to disconnect from the chat temporarily, and next to that option, there is another one called "chat rules", I recommend reading them when you have time.

And without waiting for a response from any of the other members, I selected the option to exit.

With one hand behind his head and lying on his bed, Ryuichi moved his free hand as he finished reading the chat rules.

'So, to summarize everything there are 3 rules: It is mandatory to enter the chat at least once a day and interact a little with the other members, the existence of the chat cannot be revealed unless 2 members are physically present and both wish to reveal the existence of the chat, and we cannot refuse the missions if we do not want to suffer a penalty, but it seems that we can finish the mission before completing the objective or objectives, although finishing the mission before will affect the rewards, and in some cases will bring punishments'

With a clear summary in his head, Ryuichi closed that tab returning to the main screen, there was the "Connect to Chat" option in the center and a considerably large size, but what caught his attention was the writing on the top of the screen.

For some unknown reason, he felt the urge to "click" on that place, after all, the "Alternate" part caught his attention, and when he selected that option, a new box appeared.

Reading this worried Ryuichi quite a bit because if any of the other members found this option, they might suspect him even though he didn't know any more than any of them about the real purpose of this chat or its creator.

But leaving this matter forgotten after finding it would do nothing but fill him with anguish over the content, so he selects the affirmative option.

Once it was verified that he was the administrator, the loading box disappeared, and a new one replaced it.

What is Alternate Multiversal Chat?

Welcome administrator, and congratulations for finding one of the easter eggs of this chat, but what is the Alternate Multiversal Chat? And why does it have the word Alternate?

This is due to the very existence of the user, because the scan was carried out too long after planned, it was not detected in time that the soul of the chat administrator does not belong to the reality where he currently lives.

Due to this, the timeline of said reality was compromised in one way or another, this almost resulted in the elimination of invitations for the other members because they lived in their own "canon" versions of reality with situations that were already written in stone, a concept which was incompatible to connect with your own reality being AU (Alternate Universe).

Therefore, to avoid the destruction of the only invitations available for this chat, the route of the invitations was altered extremely slightly, ending all of these in AU (Alternate Universe) realities quite close to the "canon" reality.

However, because this change was last-second and an incredibly drastic one regarding protocol, the AU realities where the invitations ended up are missing a very small, but incredibly vital factor.

The path of the "Hero" of all the selected realities was compromised, most likely in a negative way, either to a greater or lesser extent, the "hero" could have died at the beginning of his path, could make a small decision that deviates slightly from the "canon" path, becoming corrupted at some point, or even not even being born in the first place.

This variable altered the functioning of all aspects of the chat in unknown ways, the most obvious being the change of the name, going from being a "Multiversal Chat" to an "Alternate Multiversal Chat", so it is recommended to take all the precautions that are considered necessary when using any function.

'This couldn't be good, no, saying just "not good" would be an understatement, what the hell does it mean that the "Hero's" path was compromised?'

'First of all, why does it sound like the entire world's fate depends on one person?'

'Something like that gave me the feeling of a story that had lost its protagonist, in addition to that, canon universes? I don't understand what the hell you mean by all that!' Ryuichi thought worriedly as he felt a headache approaching, that is until his mind focused on the ability the chat had been giving him.

[Ki Manipulation] was something taken from one of the most famous franchises of all time, Dragon Ball, a story that was clearly FICTION in his previous world, but this chat, system, or whatever the hell it was, had given him.

And even worse, the [Son Goku Experience] went even further, literally inputting memories and knowledge on the specific topics that had to do with the first "gift" and anything related to the fight, all of this a being that shouldn't even exist.

He knew well what the term multiverse meant, he knew that he probably didn't even live on his own version of Earth and that he had even talked to another person who lived in an alternate version of Japan along with people who probably lived in realities that nothing they had to do with his.

But thinking that the multiverse would even encompass "fictional" worlds was a revelation I wasn't expecting.

Even with this Ryuichi couldn't help but think about the bad feeling he had about what he had decided to call "the hero's deviation", because no matter how he looked at it this could only mean trouble.

'I can't just sit idly by, I was given the ability to control an incredibly versatile energy along with the knowledge of one of the greatest experts in it who is also probably one of the best fighters in the entire multiverse, if I wasted something like that when I don't even know what there is in the world I live in, it would be the same as handing my head on a silver platter to the first monster that comes to ask for it'. With that thought, he sat back down, and as he let his memories guide him, Ryuichi went back to meditating.

That's all for today, a little more important information about this chat and the oddities it has, there are still more things to discover, but that will be told later.

And as I said in the previous chapter, today's chapter is a little shorter, but this is because I didn't have much time to do it.

That said, I promise to make something longer in the next one, at least 4,500 words, and taking into account that this chapter was "serious", we will relax with something "ecchi" in the next one, after all, this is the DXD world, remove all traces of ecchi would be the same as removing the transformations from Dragon Ball, the filler chapters from Naruto, or a couple of bloodlines from Ichigo, and doing that would be a crime.
