By the borders of the territory of the vampires, a dark forest surrounds the royal castle and the newly built prison facility.

There were two separate fortresses for the royal castle and the prison. 

After the dark forest, a barren land serves a gap distancing the two fortresses from its borders.

Unlike the reign of the late vampire king, Lionel, King Lucas and the High Sovereign chose the experienced and skillful vampires to patrol the borders. 

While the inexperienced and vampires who were less skilled in battle were tasked somewhere else.

Amongst the chosen vampires to patrol the borders was Caroline.

All remaining henchmen vampires who served King Lionel were now delegated to patrol and security roles.

Caroline and the other chosen vampires tasked to patrol were under the supervision of Hanzo.
