Maria's face turned a paled at she lowered the phone and looked up at Leo.

"Sherbet Lemon," she whispered back to herself, "Leo you have to go to Ayas immediately."

"Maria, what does it mean?" Rosa asked.

"Sherbet Lemon. It's a code word for help," Maria said. "We used to use it when we were little, whilst playing games in the woods with the others."

At that point, Leo grabbed his car keys and turned to me.

"I'm sorry to leave you right now," he said, kissing my head. "I'll be back as soon as possible."

He then turned to Rosa.

"Mom, will you take her to yours and look after her until I get back?" Leo asked.

Rosa nodded, "I think Maria and I will be cracking open the wine. You're welcome to join."

I glanced up to Leo.

"Mom, there's something you should know," he said, wrapping an arm around me.

She looked between us before her face lit up.

"You're pregnant!?" Rosa said, pulling me into a tight hug, "Leo you need to tell your Father he will be delighted!"
