Vanessa's pov

I ran to no-where. If this would make me escape these monsters, then be it. Sure i'm the best fighter in the pack, but I can't fight my own pack when I thought they are my only family, right... I can't fight back because I once trusted them, now I was overwhelmed with sadness and anger. They say I am the king's mate and my pack truly hates the king but i dont.

Without him we wouldn't have animals to hunt, and without him our race would be extinct a long long time ago.

I dont really know my real parents, my (used to be parents) told me that they found me near their pack borders, they took the responsibility on taking care of me. I've been raised up by fighting since i was little, my used to be dad, is a beta, it is important for him to know how to fight so he taught me too since he belived that i could be the first female omega. But not anymore.

I ran at my fastest while tears ran down my face, suddenly, i tripped on a rock and my leg started bleeding. I was barefoot. I crawled behind a tree and held my breath. I waited till they pass by, when i heard them pass by i was about to stand up and hide somewhere else but i heard footsteps coming my way. "Shit", I thought, I knew that i'll be caught, while i was trying to hide i fell and scraped my knee. Suddenly that person appears and my eyes widen.

"you thought you could hide from us, especially me?" viki spoke.

Viki, my ex-best friend, we hang out, partied together, but i couldn't blame her, she grew hating on the king.

So it was an advantage to kill his mate, but how did they know that i'm his mate i dont know my self , maybe they did some type black magic shit and if the king knew they would be dead in a matter of seconds, the whole pack will.

"you really thought that you can hide from us, from me , when i spent my whole life with a bitch like you, which was a waste of my time btw, and i knew your scent very well" viki said laughing bitterly. "You'll be dead right now" she smirked and started to come my way.

She grabbed me by the hair and dragged me to the center of the forest. I guess the alpha told her. Alpha kevin, said to be cruel since he was born to this world, suddenly, i was thrown on the ground aggresivley that i could start bleeding.

viki came to my side and bent down

" poor you , poor vanessa, you have been not wanted since birth, how about leaving this world completley?" She spoke and kicked my side. I bit my tongue holding it in, no way in hell am showing them that they are hurting me, she kept kicking me until she heard the crack, she stopped and smiled in satisfaction, she broke my rib.

"I've done what i wanted" she said and ran to her parents and hugged them.

The alpha sighed and mumbled a "finally", he stood infront of me, picked me and threw me on his shoulders and walked towards the lake, his "torture lake"and threw me in and held me, after minutes i began gasping for air ,which led to my lungs. Before blacking out i heard him say " rot in hell"
