Chapter 40 :Bite

Third pov～

 Ruby walks away from them a calm look on her face,an emotion flashes through her eyes but quickly disappear as fast as it came.

 She sighs and turns the corner only to be pushed into strong arms.

 ''Zach''She whines already knowing it's Zach by his scent,she pulls back and sees Althea standing there and they both pin her with worried gazes.

 ''Are you ok''Althea asks stepping vloser to wrap her arms around Ruby who let's out a soft laugh.

 ''Yes I am''She tells them being honest,she too is puzzled at how peaceful and calm she is towards all that is happening,seeing Alexander barely affected her which surprised her at first.

 'Alarica'She calls out to her witch.

'I didn't do it'Alarica says and Ruby laughs at the lie.

 'How are you girls'.Ruby asks the girls while wounding her arms around Zach and Althea to walk towards the field.

 'Great'Ina replies lowly,she is the most affected by everything considering she is the lycan part of her.

 'Good'Angel replies and Ruby could already see the grin on her Demon's face.

 Rose doesn't reply which puzzles Ruby but she just shrugs it off and continues walking with Zach and Althea.

 ''Black or red''Zach suddenly turns to ask the girls and they give him confused looks before thinking.

 ''Black''Althea answers grinning and turns to look at Ruby.

 ''Red''Ruby answers licking her lips while starring at Zachs neck a sinister grin on her face,sensing her look Zach moves away from her his brows raised.

 ''Why do you ask Zach''The ladies ask in unison when Zach suddenly lets out a laugh before running the other direction.

 ''There is a black snake on the tree''He says after moving a distance and the girls immediately look up only for their eyes to widen at the huge black snake which has already set its body ready to bite.

 ''Zach you idiot''Althea screaches before running away from there and chasing after Zach who runs away laughing like a maniac.

 Ruby stands there amused and turns back to look at the black snake with sparkly green eyes.

 Putting her hand forward she moves it towards the snake who hisses.

 ''Come''She commands her voice hard and filled with allure,the eyes of the snake instantly change to black and it moves towards her hand circling itself around her wrist.

 The snakes twists and turns before raising its head to look at her dead in the eyes,grinning sinisterly she places her hand on the neck of the snake.

 About to order the snake she is stunned when a pair of arms wrap around her waist and she is pulled into a warm chest.

 The familiar scent envelops her senses and Alexander expects her body to tense up or react to his touch.

 he is stunned when her composion remains the same and she turns to face him.

 ''What do you want Alpha''She asks and the snake hisses trying to bit Alexander who narrows his eyes at the animal.

 ''What are you playing at Ruby,where are the emeralds''He asks her and Ruby instantly grins at the reminder of the emeralds.

 Moving towards the man she puts the snake between them before placing her other hand on his chest.

 Alexander's body visibly tenses at the contact and he tries to move away from her his eyes darkening.

 He knew she is dangerous like a siren and has the ability to trick him just like five months ago.

 Feeling his muscles bulge under her touch she grins before running her hand further down his chest while maintaining eye contact with Alexander.

 Leaning closer to him her breath fans his neck and the hair there instantly raises.

 ''Why don't you find it Alpha''She whispers letting her lips linger there for sometime and Alexander exhales loudly his body already reactng to her touch.

 Alexander comes back to his senses when he feels a sting on his chest only to realise the snake bit him and he looks at Ruby only to see her grinning widely.
