Chapter 49

Alexander's POV

It was late when we arrived at the Silver River Moon pack. I look at my mate beside me, her face is in deep thought.

"We're here," I tell her, breaking her off in her thoughts.

She then look at me looking startled but then regained herself and respond to me.

"Okay."

I nod my head at her then the car door opens up and I stepped out of the vehicle.

I scan my eyes around and no one is around. I didn't tell anyone here that we were coming. I want to surprise them and see what will their reactions be when they see her.

I look behind me to see my mate already stepped out of the car and walks her way beside me.

I felt her nervous but she was really ready for this. Neither of us didn't say anything upon getting out of the car.

I put a hand on her back and led her to the front door. The lights suddenly turned on when we stepped foot and the door flew open. Coming out was the current Alpha of the pack who is their beta, looking surprised and frightened.

"What a surprise my Alpha King!" Patrick said feeling breathless and his wolf felt anxious "You should have informed me Alpha King that you're going to visit us. I should have--"

"Do I have to do that? I am the King! Your Alpha King! I don't need anyone or everyone to tell me what to do!" I roared at him cutting him off "I can and I will be at every pack of this kingdom whenever I wish to and you don't have a say in it!" My harsh words cut through him making him flinch.

I balled my fist in anger and I felt everyone was all tensed but my mate reached out for our bond making me calm and I was thankful for it, for I would be lashing out at this pathetic wolf!

I saw Patrick gulp down at his words and slowly cast his eyes down in an apologetic look. I feel everyone inside the pack house we're all woken up.

"I have come here to discuss an important matter with you and all the wolves here."

Patrick stepped aside at the door and his eyes look up at me then swept beside me. When his eyes falls on the she-wolf beside me his eyes got dimmed and his face turn furious.

"What are you doing here?" He angrily said. He took a step towards my mate and harshly grabbed her arm "Why are you here? After all that you did to this pack and Alpha Ace! You still have the guts to show up your face here!?"

Red.

I saw red. My blood boiled in so much fury upon seeing my mate struggles to keep her emotions at bay. The pain of his words inflicted in every bit of her.

I let go of my hand at my mate's back and furiously grabbed Patrick by the throat and held his body high in front of me. He was stunned by my action.

"Don't you fucking dare lay a hand on my mate!" My wolf growled intensely.

Patrick's eyes went wide and didn't know what to say. I tightened my hold on his neck until he gasped for air.

'I will fucking kill this wolf!'

I held him higher while gripping tightly at his neck. His feet dangling high up in the ground and everyone inside the pack piled around us and all of them went still upon witnessing what I will do to this pathetic wolf!

Then suddenly a hand touched me making my wolf stir.

"Please, put him down" she whispered "I'm okay. It's alright" Then her hands hold the side of my face and my eyes look down at her "I'm here. Love."

Hearing her words made my wolf pull back inside me and purred at the last word she had said.

"Love. She called us Love!"

My wolf jumped for joy and his anger instantly subside. His attention we're all focus on her.

I swallowed down upon hearing the word she said. Hearing it for the first time made my heart melt but then I felt a little disappointed for she have to say it just to calm my wolf down. She was forced to say that word and not willingly had called me by it.

Letting out a frustrated sigh I let go of Patrick while my eyes still looking down at my mate.

Patrick falls to the ground and I felt someone help him up to stand and they all awkwardly went silent.

I look at my mate unsurely. She let go of her hand at my face and stared at me pleadingly.

I force my anger down for her. I wanted this visit to work perfectly fine for her but then I guess it's not that easy to do.

I tear my eyes away from her and instead look down at Patrick whose now pulling himself together. He stared at my mate confusingly and unbelievably.

I raised my voice full of authority for them to know what she is to them.

"I have found my mate."

I gently reached for her hand and pull her closer to me. They all gasped when they saw her fall closer beside me.

"Bow down to your Luna Queen!"

They all look stunned and unmoving. Not sure if they would follow what I've said.

I growled to them making them submit to me.

I felt their wolf's uneasiness. Tension, guilt, and anger filled the air. They have no choice but to abide by what I've said.

Slowly, all the wolves around us kneeled. Until Patrick was the only one left standing.

I stared down at him angrily and saw that he was struggling not to say anything against her Luna Queen. He balled his fist and bow down while looking at my mate.

On the other hand, I felt her hands hold on tightly against mine but I felt her wolf wanting to come out. She wanted them all to know her presence. She wanted the wolves to know that she has now power over them.

I felt her wolf's anger and her pain at what they have been through with this pack. So she wanted to come out and proudly strunt herself to them that they had surpassed all the pains and heartaches they had suffered.

But then she restrained her wolf inside. Not wanting her wolf to prod herself to them. I don't know why she doesn't want to show her wolf but something tells me that there's a reason why and she was hiding it from me.

I shrugged that feeling knowing that she was hiding something from me.

"You may all rise" she awkwardly said to the wolves around.

And they all immediately stood up, especially Patrick.

Murmurings instantly spread around us.

Some say that my mate doesn't deserve to be their Luna Queen. That she doesn't fit to be my mate. That she's a pathetic wolf, a lowly wolf, and a disgusting one.

And many more.

Words that we're all sickening to hear.

Words that make her feel so lowly of herself. Think more lowly of herself.

She had mindlessly gripped tighter at my hands. Her heartbeat accelerated and she felt sad and broken.

And I felt really bad. And I felt bad for these wolves.

"They don't have the fucking right to say those things against my mate!" Roared my wolf inside me "Are they insane? Do they think we can't hear all that they were saying?!"

My anger is building up again. Increasing minute by minute as the wolves around kept their harsh talked about my mate.

Her hands trembled against mine.

That's it! I can't take this anymore!

I took a step forward, letting go of her hand and I roared.

My wolf and I roared powerfully unto them.

And they all fall on their knees holding their ears.

And everyone went silently still.

"You don't have the right to question the Moon Goddess's will! Her will of who will be my mate! Or who will be your Luna Queen!" My chest heaves up and down with my anger.

"You are the ones whose pathetic! You are the ones who don't deserve her!" I shouted angrily.

"You don't know what sacrifice she had to make just to save this kingdom against those bastard rogues!"

They were all just silent staring down at the ground.

"She had made an unexplainable thing against the rogues that no one had ever done! She had saved you all from your fucking Alpha!"

I swept my eyes through them making them feel that I was staring down at them intensely.

"Tell me! What do your Alpha Ace had done to this pack? Nothing! Because he was a pathetic and greedy Alpha! A power he only wants for himself! And what happens?! The rogues had easily attacked this pack and your Alpha didn't have the fucking guts to save all his wolves in his pack!"

Their heart burns with guilt and sadness.

"Now tell me! You all fucking tell me what did you do?"

Everyone, we're still silent even Patrick. They all didn't know what to say. They stared down at each other with guilt on their faces.

"And now you blame it all on her? What exactly did she do to all of you? Did she hurt you? Cursed you? Beat you up? What? Someone fucking tells me!" I growled to them making them feel the fury inside me.

Behind me, I can feel my mate's sadness and her heart's sorrows from all the anger and the undivided emotions that swirled around us. Her heart feels like suffocating and will break down any minute now.

"What!?" I viciously roared "No one can even speak among all of you? You are all cowards! Just like your Alpha!"

I will not let these fucking awful wolves break my mate and say hurtful things about her! I will make sure that their words will harshly get back to them!

"You all don't know what she had been through! How hard her life had been while you! You all just think about your greedy self! Blaming all the mistakes of this pack!"

"In the very first place that Alpha Ace of yours is a sick bastard coward wolf! He is not the true Alpha of this pack and he will never be even in his death!"

I continue to lash out at them. The nerves on my neck bulged out. There are so many things I wanted to tell them.

"Just to let you all know! She is the true Alpha of this pack!"

Everyone gasped and held their breaths.

"And you all made her a lowly wolf! Treating her badly and made her a servant and a helper of this pack!"

My mate's wolf purring sadly from our bond. Making me feel how hurt they are by the truth of my words. How badly she was treated in her own pack.

And now that I am here. No one will ever gonna hurt her. I will make sure that everyone who caused her pain will pay!

I will defend and protect her at any cost! Even if it takes my life!

My wolf viciously growled once again making the wolves tremble in fear. The ground beneath them shook slightly from the loud growl.

"If anyone dared to speak unworldly about my mate, I will not hesitate to cut your head off! Dare to hurt her even just a pinch! I will make sure that if anyone dared to inflict harm against her they will regret it!"

Now their heads all bowed down in so much shame.

My burning fury was pouring heavily on them.

They will bow down and respect her with their lives!

Suddenly I felt something through our bond. Abruptly I look behind me to see her.

She was holding her chest and was struggling. I felt her wolf clawing its way out.

She wanted to break out but my mate is trying all of her might to not let her wolf be out. She falls to the ground catching her breath and I instantly went to her.

But then I stopped when her head look up and I saw her eyes.

Her eyes turned white and I felt something undeniable.

An undeniable feeling as I stared down at her wolf.

As her wolf had come to the surface.

And then she started to change from her wolf form.

My breath hitched in my throat upon seeing her wolf for the first time.

She was magnificent and truly one of a kind.

All the wolves around, whose all still on their knees. They were all speechless.

They all look at her in amusement.

And I look at her now more differently.

I felt more in love with her.

A white wolf.

Standing on all four, in all her might and glory. Proudly presenting herself from all the wolves around her.

My wolf growled at her differently. Making her wolf wag its tail in response to my wolf.

My wolf also wanted to be out.

And so I let him.

I immediately let out my wolf and shifted into his form.

As I was finished changing to my wolf form they both howled to the moon as the wolves around us kept silent.

Silently watching us. Witnessing how beautiful their Luna Queen is.

I can't believe that a true white wolf stands in front of me. That the myths are not just myths. That a white wolf truly exists.

They are one of a kind that the Moon Goddess created.

And I was so damn lucky to be blessed with a white wolf as my mate.

And I will never let this go to waste.

I will treasure her more than my life.

I stared at both of them inside my wolf.

My wolf walks his way towards her and put his head closed against her.

They were looking at each other intensely. Their hearts dance as one making me shiver from its magical sensation.

Her wolf licked at the side of my wolf's face and he just let his mate do what she wants. She continues to lick my wolf up to his ear down to his neck then back again at his face.

This is her way to say thank you for defending them against their pack. For fighting for her and standing up for both of them.

When she was satisfied she stepped back and howled once again. Calling to the Moon Goddess, lifting us to her.

Then she turns to look at the wolves around her. She stared at them with her head held high. Proud of herself and making them feel that she is not afraid of them.

Now I know why her human side kept her for she was protecting her wolf. For she has a white wolf.

The wolves around kept their mouth shut not saying anything. Showing their neck in submission. Their wolf submitting to her.

Now they accept her as their Luna Queen.

And I am very proud of her.

She deserved all the love and happiness in this world.

She howled once again then gazed her eyes to me. The look on her face told me that she was up for something.

Then she slowly started to walk, the wolves sweeping aside making a way for her. She wag her tail at me then she started to run. She runs heading inside the forest.

My wolf smirks and licked his mouth.

He wants to follow her and catch her.

"I was waiting for this!"

The excitement in his voice made me smile.

"What are you waiting for then?" I told him teasingly.

Without another word, he run towards the forest to chase her without a care for the wolves left behind.
