Chapter One

Alpha Jax POV

It's another full moon and another shitty ball is being hosted in our home to help find me a mate. Sure, all of the wolves at my age have found their mate, and I don't have one.

But it's just stupid to keep having these parties which are embarrassing to be at because everyone attending already knows why we are hosting a gathering.

My parents, especially my mother, always go out of their way to decorate the ballroom with some luxurious black and gold theme, and tonight the room looks so fancy that it is uncomfortable to look at.

"Alpha Jax, you look so dashing today," Haryana said, smiling at me after she and a young omega approached me, and I gave her a stiff smile. "Have you met my daughter? She's seventeen and will be eighteen soon."

Aahh, another introduction of an omega. This is the fifteen omegala I have met tonight, and I have no connection with none of them.

It wasn't strange that I have met so many omegala when the party is only beginning since I am the next leader of the pack and my parents were filthy wealthy... like billions of dollars rich.

I met Haryana's daughter's eyes when her mother nudged her arm and whispered, "Don't be shy and tell him your name."

Smiling softly at me, she said in a whimper as her fingers traced her hair behind her ear, "I'm Elsie,"

I wasn't interested in her or anyone in this damn room, and all I wanted was to escape another nightmare that my parents have created for me.

"Excuse me," I said, gazing away from her.

Not waiting for a response from Elsie or her mother, I shoved my hands into my coat pocket and walked away, heading for the door.

"Jax!...Jax!...Jax!!!" I heard my mother call out to me as I continue walking with no intention of stopping.

Not tonight! I couldn't have this talk with her again. After so many years and countless balls, I know her speech by heart before she even opens her mouth, and I don't want to hear it again because I might lose my damn mind, and my anger isn't something that anyone can handle.

After walking out of the house, I slammed the door shut when I heard my mother shout, "Jax, get back here."

That woman wouldn't let me be and live my life in peace like my soul desired to do.

There's a saying that when a wolf doesn't find his mate, he is restless and incomplete, but not me. I got money, power, and different women in my bed every night.

If you ask me, I am whole, and tonight, I'm going to calm my anger by fucking someone forgettable, and the best place to find such a woman is at the strip club.

A night of pleasure and no attachment when morning comes is exactly what I need.

The sky was moonlit and dark blue when I drove in front of, "XP Nightclub" and brought my vehicle to a stop.

After leaving my car, I headed into the building, and the moment I entered the club, the loud music immediately swept a frown on my face.

The sound was earsplitting because I'm a werewolf, but these humans don't care since their hearing is bleak compared to mine. But I wasn't here for long. I just need a chick to take to a fancy hotel, and in such a place, they are not hard to find.

Keeping my hands in my jacket pocket, I walked further into the room until I reached a robust guy with a tattooed body and piercings on his nose and ear.

Then I stopped, looked up at his face, and said, "Hi, Joe. Can you arrange another meeting with one of the ladies for me again?"

"Mini was asking for you a minute ago. Do you want me to get her?" Joe said.

"You know that I don't fuck the same bitch after a night with her."

"Right...Right!"

"Come along with me, and I will get you one of our newest ladies."

As he turned and walked away, I followed after him. A couple of minutes later, we arrived in a private room, and then Joe looked at me and said, "Make yourself comfortable. I will get the girl."

Afterward, Joe left the room, and I stared around the place for a moment before sitting on the big black couch.

A couple of minutes went by in silence, and when I began to feel like Joe wouldn't come, the door suddenly opened, and a young girl ran into the room, looking desperate with her clothes ripped, revealing her bra.

Her body was shivering and she had a tear-stained face as she pleadingly stared at me, mumbling, "Help me, please!"

Judging from the way she was dressed even though her blouse was torn, the innocent in her gaze told me that she didn't belong in a place like this.

"What reward do I get for helping you?" I mumbled, looking her dead in the eyes.

She looked hesitant at first as she stared at me

Then her breathing got a bit shallow, even though she looked like she was trying to stay calm.

When I saw the fear in her eyes, I knew that she was scared of whoever was coming after her.

"Do you speak?" I asked since she had been quiet for a while.

"Money," She whispered. "Is a thousand buck okay?"

"Give me a convincing offer or get out!"

"Two thousand?"

"Get out!"

Her brows furrowed as she stared intensely at me, and then she mumbled, "That's all the money I have to my name."

"Fine, keep your two thousand. It seems like you need it more than I do." I mumbled, sizing her with my eyes.

Her wet eyes widened as she whispered, "You don't want a reward anymore?"

"Nah, I do. But my prize for helping you will be your body!" I calmly uttered, ignoring the sudden look of anger in her eyes.
