Obviously, Cane didn't tell them about Iris's pregnancy, which left her with the option. 

"Luna, what happened? Are you sick?" Amee asked. She knew Cane well enough to tell something was wrong between them two, but unless one of them said something, she didn't want to poke her nose into their problem too deep. 

But, instead of saying something, Iris burst into tears. She hugged Hanna tightly. She looked for comfort that she couldn't get from Cane, but still, he was the only one she wanted. The only one her heart needed.
