Iris was happy with the way Cane played along with her, especially the part where he told Nala not to follow him. She would always remember the look on Nala's face.

But then, it was not only her, who watched everything that unfolded there. There was also Hanna, Ethan and Trion in the background. Their jaws dropped to witness what just happened.

The Gamma tapped Iris' shoulder to get her attention. "You are jealous," he stated without preamble.

"I am not." Iris shook her head, looking a little bit defensive.

"Yes, you are."

"No, I am not." Iris immediately hastened her steps, as she half- ran toward the garden. She couldn't hear them, but she was sure, the three of them were laughing right now. How dare they laugh at her?!

Yet, Iris didn't dare to confront them, nor did she stop to wait for them.
