The Passionate Kiss And The Unexpected Reaction

Charlotte's POV

I had mixed emotions when I saw Stefan staring at me with those eyes of his that spoke words on his behalf.

The feelings I had for him seemed to resurrect just by looking at him, I felt like I made the worst mistake of my life by walking away without even giving him the benefit of doubt.

We had been friends for as long as I can remember, but everything ended just like that. But just then Jasper carried me into my room, I didn't expect what he did next.

How can he be lying on my body and what on Earth is he trying to do to me?

"Charlotte, what's your problem!

You are my mate, and we just had our swearing in Ceremony, so what on earth is your problem!"

What on this bloody earth does he mean by that, even if he is my mate, I should have some kind respect from him.

I felt like shouting at him right that minute, but then something came to my mind; even my mate treats me like the rest. They are no different, they are all the same.

Before I knew it, my wrenched emotions took the best of me. I'm damn tired of acting all strong, I can't take this anymore, it isn't my fault that I ain't my father's daughter neither is it my fault that I was even conceived to begin with.

Neither the mate bond nor the excitement of my wolf will make me succumb to what Jasper wants because I don't want it. For once in my life, just this once, I want to say no, not because someone asked me to but because I want to say no.

"Why did you choose me!

Why me!" I let the words escape my mouth freely.

The tears kept dripping down my cheeks, but the funny truth is that I can't keep it in check like I used to.

I have always been so adamant about not letting others see my weakness but right now I think those principles flee through the window.

Other times I rather have a heart pain than let myself cry in front of anyone, just like the teachings I received during my days of training;

  'Never let your enemies know your weakness even at your dying point.'

  But here I am doing the opposite of what I teach others.

"Charlotte, I apologize for my behavior right now." I chuckled amidst tears.

"Jasper, did I do anything wrong to you? Why did you select to make my life a living hell?

Why?" I mostly know that it wasn't his fault nor is it mine that the moon goddess decided to bond our souls together, but I believe there is more to this than him just being my mate.

"Charlotte, to be honest with you, I don't know. I don't know the answer to that question, even if you ask me a hundred times I will give you the same answer, maybe it's fate." His expression while he spoke to me was really a serious one. 

For a moment, I almost believed him, but that can't be considered as a definite answer.

"But come to think of it, you are my mate, and it's only right that I mark you. I didn't plan for the moon goddess to make you my mate,did I?

I know how much you resent me, but I want us to try working out things."

He softened his voice this time as I listened to his gibberish words.

"Charlotte, we are meant for each other, it's a divine arrangement which we have to work hard for it to work out in our favor." He fixed his eyes on mine.

"I promise you won't regret this."

He leaned closer to me so that I could feel his breath on my face and to be sincere the sparks erupting from our bodies wasn't helping matters at all.

"Charlotte, he's being sincere, we can't just push out our mate. Stop lying to yourself, I know you want him just like I do, let's give him a chance."

My wolf Zea kept screaming in my head that I didn't even know when Jasper slammed his lips on mine, the only thing I felt right now is his lips nibbling mine.

"All this is not his fault as well, please don't deny him the right to your body." Her words kept making me do crazy things.

It was as though my body was an entity of its own because right now, my hands are wrapped around Jasper's neck while I savor his sweet taste. Whatever I want to do, my body does the opposite.

The kiss is really a sweet and passionate one, but suddenly, I felt something trail down my abdomen.

Before I knew it, his hands were making it in between my thighs.

I opened my eyes, which I can't quite remember when I closed.

Jasper was still kissing my lips when I raised my legs, and before he knew it,I kicked him hard to the floor.

"Charlotte, what is the meaning of this?" He asked me with undeniable fury and pain in his eyes, but then he only appeared to be very hilarious to me.

I let out a soft laugh, and I think that only made his anger escalate to a higher level. "What's so funny?"

He inquired with a quirked eyebrow while helping himself up from the floor.

"Nothing much." I replied while standing up from the bed, I have to stand up in case of defending myself if the need comes up.

"Charlotte, why should you…"

I didn't let him finish his statement when I cut him off with my sentence.

"Jasper, you should learn not to cross the line, though I'm sorry to announce that there will be no next time." I walk towards my walk-in-closet and from there to the bathroom.

When I walked out of the bathroom, Jasper was standing beside my window and looking out from it,the minute he perceived my scent he turned to face me with a gloomy look on.

"We are heading back to the crystal moon pack right now."
