Chapter 1

"Daniel! Daniel! Daniel! Please come up here and lift this wardrobe for me, I need to pick my necklace under it." why mum screeched.

I groaned under my breath, I was a wolf but my mum and dad are normal human beings. Although, I was not my dad's biological son but he does not know about it. Ever since my mum found out that I was a werewolf, she knew I did not belong to him.

She came from a wealthy family and was forced to marry the man I called father, but before she was forced, she had a high school lover named Derek. He was a werewolf and he could not marry my mum because he does not have anyone to call his family.

"Daniel, are you up there?" She called out again yelling my name. I was pulled out of my reverie and I hissed under my breath. I dropped the phone I was pressing and walked to her room. "Mummy, I told you I won't come over again to carry anything for you. This should be the last time you should call me for anything" I said angrily. I walked over to the wardrobe and l lifted it, I growled and pulled it up. I do not have my full werewolf power because I am a loner. I do not have a pack so I can only carry heavy things and the color of my eye is yellow. I can also sense when someone else is with me and I can count the heartbeats of people I had to ask my mum numerous times to contact my father but she insisted saying she is going to find a solution for me.

She hurriedly picked up her necklace and moved back. I dropped it loudly with a thud and flexed my fingers. "Thank you, baby, I need to wear this to Samantha's party. I won't bother you with anything again," she muttered. I ignored her and walked back to my room. I closed the door and went to the bathroom, I could see the veins and blood at the back of my hands, every time I carry something heavy, I lose a great amount of blood but it regulates itself back in three days. I rinsed my hand with water and went back to my room. I lay down and thought about myself.

My name is Jeffrey Daniel and I am seventeen years old. I am a senior student at Hattwarts senior school. I don't roll with the students in there because I am scared I might hurt them. My dad is a businessman and he is not always around most of the time. I got to know I was a werewolf at the age of 14. I never told anyone but my mum found out during the full moon when my dad was away on one of his business trips. I was growling loudly and she came into my room to see my eyeball change to color yellow and my canines longer than their normal length. Surprisingly, she was not shocked. She locked my door from the outside and left me inside till the next morning. She opened the door the next morning and was not shocked to see broken lamps and glasses on the floor. I tend to break a lot of things during the full moon.

She cleansed my hands for me and packed all the broken things on the floor. She laid me down and told me the story of her and my real dad. She told me I was not a wolf that drinks blood because if I had been one, she would have known since I was a kid. She told me my father was not one to drink blood too. My pregnancy was a planned work because she wanted something to always remember him. She told me he took off since her wedding day but she has a way to call him out. Since then, she has not seen him and has not bothered to call him because he tends to misbehave and might want to collect me from her.

Although, she has been looking out for me since I was young maybe I would become a werewolf also but when I was ten and I did not show any sign, she thought I would be a normal human like her. But she was surprised when she heard me growl during the full moon. She said she was going to ask for help from those she knew but since then I never heard from her about it again.

"Have fun and do not go out Daniel, I am leaving for Samantha's house now." My mum shouted from the sitting room and pulled me out of my thoughts. I decided to stroll out to the park. I took my leather jacket with me and an umbrella because we were already in the winter and it might fall. I left a note for my mum not to look for me in case she comes back early. I took my keys with me and dropped my mum's own in the flower bed at the entrance of the door.

I saw my schoolmate Oliver on the way. He was with his girlfriend Sandra, making out at the entrance of one person's house. As soon as I got to the park, I found a suitable place to sit and watched how different children ran around with their parents trying to catch them. I never did all this as a child because my dad was always on trips and my mum is the busy type. I dozed off on the armchair I was sitting in and did not wake up until it was evening. I notice the pack was empty. I switched on my phone and saw sixteen missed calls and eleven messages from my mum. It was a cool evening so I decided to wait a bit before going home. I logged in on my Instagram scrolled up if I would see something to do for the time being.

I had not scrolled up to five minutes when I noticed that I was not the only one in the park. I could feel the heartbeat of the person and I notice she was not a normal human being. Maybe she is someone like me and some part of me was excited. But there was something off about her, I could feel it but I could not lay my finger on it.

"Who is there? Come out if you are brave enough, I know you are there just come out now before I do something wrong." I yelled. I could feel my wolf growling but I was trying my best to calm it down. Then something just changed, I started hearing multiple heartbeats. I was getting nervous, I did not understand what was happening. Is this another kind of creature or a werewolf alike me? I was not feeling excited anymore. I hurriedly took my umbrella and ran, but the wolf in me would not allow me to leave. It kept fighting back, wanting to know what was playing a trick on it.

Suddenly I growled loudly and I heard I knew you were not a human.
