11 The Scream From The Basement.

Earlier Becky was in the restroom where she was interrogating Elvis about why he engaged in a fight with Noah, but he refused to let her know.

Since Noah was angry because they brought Pedro's daughter to him, Elvis didn't want Becky to know what happened, that would only enrage Noah more if he found out he told Becky about it. After all, no one except the betas had to know that someone from the Red Dragon pack had broken a prominent law.

In the middle of this interrogation, they suddenly heard a scream from the basement.

The basement was a deserted place in the house where no one dared to go knowing what would be waiting if they approached the area.

It was in that basement that a woman had been locked for several years where she was been tortured by alpha Maverick before he got shot by the wolf hunters.

The woman locked in there was the one who helped the Alpha's mate poison the Alpha. She was the one who made the poison that ripped slowly the wolf off Alpha Maverick Brooks's body.

Sadie was the woman who had been locked for over ten years in that basement where all punishment had been melted on her, but still, Sadie refused to let the Alpha know the cure to the poison she made.

Alpha Maverick had vowed to torture her for the rest of her life as long as he lived, but the more he tortured this woman, the more she became a wretched witch, one who all feared. Even Noah himself dared not approach the basement when his father melted his punishment on her.

When Becky heard the scream from the basement she had a second thought that maybe it was not Noah who attacked Elvis. It took her all her strength to control herself looking at Elvis's body which was not healing fast and knowing she could not find Noah. Hearing the wild scream, she thought that maybe Noah was somewhere close to the basement. She thought that the reason the six men had called Noah was because of the woman locked in there. Maybe she escaped.

What if the woman had escaped and was attacking Noah? She glanced at Elvis's bleeding scratches. Thinking that Noah was in danger, she ran towards the basement.

Jaxon left the bleeding Elvis behind and followed Becky trying his best to stop her from endangering herself, but when they got to the basement and did not find the woman there, the scream came again from another room in the basement. Fear took Becky to the room where she heard the wild scream.

She opened the door only to find Sadie, knocked down on the floor.

Sadie made a strange guttural growl from her throat, making Becky freeze the moment she saw her on the floor.

In the middle of the commotion, Livia; Noah's maid ran in.

'How did Sadie get out of her cage and get into this room?!' Livia's heart limped with terror. She was standing behind Becky, head lowered and hands obviously trembling in fear.

Livia was in the garden picking up some herbs to give Joseline to help her recover from her unconsciousness when she heard the scream coming from the room where she had kept Joseline.

Noah had ordered her to get rid of Joseline, but when she saw Joseline who had fallen unconscious after what Noah did to her, there was no way her conscience would have allowed her to leave a woman by the roadside where the dangerous creatures could feast on her body.

She too some years ago had experienced what Joseline went through some hours ago in the hands of Noah. Seeing Joseline's weak body made her remember the pain she had gone through at the hands of Alpha Maverick. Though this pain had healed she didn't understand how it suddenly resurfaced and she couldn't help the sad feeling when she stared at Joseline's tender body curled up and tied helplessly on the bed.

She had not understood why Noah did that to her, knowing perfectly well that Noah was not a heartless brat to harm people in such a manner.

She had believed that maybe he drank too much seeing his dying father that he did this to the lady. She hoped that when he had gotten rid of his alcoholic mind, he would apologize to the lady.

Unaware that it was Noah's betas who kidnapped the woman and also not knowing that the lady was Pedro's daughter, she hid her in this room. There was no other place in the house where she could have hidden her so that others would not find out about what Noah did. She took her to the room near the basement.

But she never knew that crazy Sadie had gotten out of her cage and was causing havoc. Her eyes went to Joseline who she saw unconscious on the floor at the foot of the bed.

Jaxon was also shocked to see Pedro's daughter they had kidnapped in the room with Sadie. The situation became complicated. No one understood what was happening anymore.

"How did Sadie get out of her cage?!" Becky shivered with fear. Sadie the woman who was with Joseline and was about to run for safety scuttled backwards and began to laugh.

This made Becky tremble the more as she saw Sadie wince, "Don't touch me, I have done nothing to you. No! No!"

"Sadie, how many times have I told you to stay in your cage?! Do you want me to wipe you?!" Now that was the voice of the guard who was supposed to make sure Sadie never got out of her cage.

He walked into the room nonchalantly, with a zero-fear expression on his face as if Sadie was his paddy. He turned to Becky and apologized, "I'm sorry Miss Becky, I didn't know she got out of her cage."

"W—where is Noah?" Becky managed to ask the guard.

"Noah has not been here." The guard replied not knowing his answer had only strangled Becky's breath. The guard turned and moved towards Sadie who was still moving backwards.

"I have done nothing to you, stay away from me." Sadie continued to whimper, clicking the phone in her hands tightly to her chest.

Becky noticed the phone in Sadie's hands and got enraged when she saw that it was the same phone she had lost some weeks ago.

"How did my phone get to her? Take my phone from her!" Becky screamed at the guard.

Everyone stood dazed seeing to phone in Sadie's hand.

"That's mine, give that back to me!" Sadie shouted in defence as the guard shook the phone off her hand.

Sadie got enraged seeing the guard take the phone forcefully away from her, she ran towards Becky and bit Becky on her hands, again she began to scuttle backwards, laughing maliciously at them.

Livia huddled immediately towards Becky, "Ma'am, are you okay?!"

"What are you standing there for? Take Sadie out of here. Are you waiting for her to cause more trouble?!" Livia shouted at the guard who stood lost.

"Jaxon, help him drag her back to her cage!" Becky shouted at Jaxon.

"T—there's no way I will touch that mad woman." Jaxon's fear was evident in his eyes as he moved some steps backwards, but Becky's glare was enough to give him a motivation to go towards Sadie who too was aiming to attack him if he dared touch her.

"Sadie, come on, everyone here is kind to you but you don't appreciate our kindness. Come let's go back to your cell." The guard began to lure Sadie out of the room.

"No way! I'm not going anywhere!" Sadie kept moving backwards towards Joseline.

Becky who was still enduring the pain of the bite on her hand took a glance at her phone and her eyes went wild when she saw the pictures on the screen of the phone. It was the picture of her and Noah's nudity which had been in the hands of Sadie.

Livia beside Becky saw the picture and turned away immediately.

Becky gasped in surprise at what she had seen, for the first time since she entered the room, her eyes fell on the naked lady lying on the foot of the bed.

All suspicious looks now rained on the guard. He had a lot to answer, but just when the guard was about to defend himself, Elvis badged into the room, "We need to get out of here now! The PRS agents are here!" Elvis almost shouted.
