Rowan wasn't surprised to hear the words she said, he heard it clearly but he wanted to taunt his timid wife a little bit,

"Can you speak louder, Mrs Rowan?"

'Mrs Rowan?' She scoffed at the manner he addressed her, but that was not important now, she needed to make him give in.

"Please make me your Luna, my dear husband." Audible enough, she was surprised she now acknowledged him as her husband just because she needed the position to gain power for her revenge.

His eyes gleamed with excitement. He knew this request will surely come from her. It was time to grab this opportunity to taste her feelings for him.

"Yes, I will." He answered and saw her eyes widen in excitement.

"But only in one condition."

"What condition?" Her heart fell to hear him say there was a condition that comes with it and when she heard the next question from him, she felt her heart jolt out of her chest.

"Do you love me?" His voice echoed into her ears.

"Have you suddenly become dumb or you don't know what to answer?" He interrupted her thought.

"Ah—um," She tried to speak but there was no way anxiety could let her.

She knew that she would be fooling herself if she dared deny the fact that her heart had started beating for him.

But if she admitted she loved him so dearly and would die of heartache if she woke up and never sees him by her side, she would be ashamed of betraying her ego.

And if she dares say 'no', she was also afraid that she won't be made his Luna. Also, she would betray her feelings because she knew she had completely fallen for this man they called the Alpha.

"Is your question necessary? Does it have anything to do with what I asked for?" She tried to look brave from the outside, but within her, she knew she was afraid of losing his support.

Seductively he began to walk towards her, but she hated that each step she took backwards away from him was overpowered by him taking two strides in his step to cover their space.

"I'm giving you two options. It's either you answer my question and kiss me or I kiss Mirada and make her my Luna. If you won't be jealous of me kissing Mirada in front of you and making her my Luna, then ignore my question."

She froze the moment he brought his face closer to her, and slowly he whispered to her again, "Do you love me?" His eyes bore seductively into hers.

Kissing his second wife, Mirada and making her his Luna was the last thing she would ever wish for, she would rather choose to betray her ego.

Yes, she loved him now, with all her heart. She couldn't deny the fact.

About to give him her sincere answer, he grabbed her by her neck and pulled her closer to him. In a blink, he slowly wetted her lips in a passionate kiss which made the rest of her answer moan into his mouth.

But when he broke this kiss with her, all she could see was blood gushing out of his stomach.

He had stabbed himself because of her.

With tear-filled eyes, she began to say those words 'I love you so much' shamelessly.

She wished he heard it but his soul was leaving his body.

Right in front of her, everything began to crash in her eyes.

Bending slowly, she kissed his dying lips only to discover he was tricking her.

He opened his eyes, "Finally, Mrs Rowan, I made you say it. Hahaha!" He stared at her and began to laugh at her hysterically.
