"He said no."

"But I said yes. I don't care what you guys want. I am here to get my profit," Harriet said, facing the Serpentes Brothers.

"I want to die," Yuha gasped. His body withered faster as he screamed.

"He wants to die," Zaha reiterated too. He seemed detached by this all. "Just let him die, Duchess."

"Why would I let my asset die?" Harriet asked flatly.

Besides the three of them, there were also Liam and Arai in the room. For the first time in a while, the two of them had nothing to say and thought that they had no right to intervene.

"You would never be able to die without my permission. That is final."

Seeing Harriet's stubborn side, Arai and Liam pursed their lips to hold their smile. And it wasn't like she was playing god or anything. She was being realistic.

"I am going to extract your knowledge about the stone, and I am not going to let go of your soul," the woman's eyes glowed menacingly, casting a chill into everyone's bones.
