Chapter 22

"So," I began leaning back on the sofa and getting comfortable, "What was Rhodey talking about this afternoon?"

Yes. They actually brought me out of the basement. And now, I'm sitting in the living room with Tammy to watch over me. In case I try to escape and all.

She was sitting on the couch opposite to me, staring down at her phone. Looking up for a split second, she looked back down rolling her eyes in the process.

"Well, can you at least tell me why you got me out of there?" I asked again, in a very sweet and irritating voice. Just to spite her.

I've been doing this for the past hour or so, since the boys left Tammy and me alone over here with Tammy on watch me duty. And so far, the only reaction I got from her is multiple eye rolls and jaw clenching. I'd hoped for more.

"Hello?" I asked leaning forward and waving a hand in front of her from where I sat, "Tasha?"
