Chapter 73: Surprising Visit

Violet considered waking Jack, but he seemed to be in such a deep sleep, that she didn’t want to disturb him.

He should be really exhausted, and she could wait to know what happened.

Her entire body was sore and she noticed a bandage around her ribs, and she soon remembered being kicked several times there. It also hurt when she breathed.

She lost track of how many ribs she had broken in these surprising attacks. Good thing her wolf self healed her fast.

After a few minutes, a nurse came to offer her something to eat, and Jack awakened with the movement.

“Oh, God, you woke up!” he got up and pulled her in a tight hug.

“Ouch… Jack, my ribs!” Violet complained while still hugging him.

“I’m sorry… I really thought I was going to lose you this time.” he said with sad eyes.

“I'm not that easy to get rid of. What happened anyway?” she wanted to know. “How long have I been sleeping?”

“Three days.”

Violet widened her eyes in shock.
