Chapter 1

Ethan's pov.

"No, we can't give him to her" I heard my mother's worried voice downstairs. "We have no use for him!" My father yelled and a tear slid down my face. My father has always hated me but my mother loved me since the first time she saw me. My father always wanted a daughter to "love and cherish" so he said. He never wished for a son because he thought that boys were as bad as wild dogs. "If I may say something" a female's voice said as I started to listen more intently. "If the blue land packs are threatening you then you need my alpha's my protection and you know her price in order for her to protect you." My eyes started to water as I knew what the girl was talking about. "He's going to get rid of me" I whispered as my mother started to speak only to be cut off by my father. "You have a deal" my father said. "No!" my mother shouted. As soon as she did I heard a slap and then a thud downstairs. "We are not keeping Jackson, he's a worthless piece of junk" my father said in his angry voice. "I'm not a worthless piece of junk!" I yelled running downstairs. "Is this him?" the girl asked. Now that I see her my anger calmed a little, but I turned and glared at my father. She had beautiful green eyes. "yes I'm Ethan and who are you?" I asked, still glaring at my father. "my name is Nadia, I'm from the Black sun pack." she answered. I looked away from her and looked at the side of my mother's face. "why would you hurt my mother, your mate just to stop her from protesting by giving me the black sun pack?!" I yelled at my father and anger filled my voice and my eyes turned from gold to a dark orange. "Ethan calm down please" I heard my mother's voice. Then I realized what had happened. Anger took over my body and I almost turned into a wolf. "sorry mom" I apologized, hugging her. "Ethan may I speak with you outside?" Nadia asked. "Sure I'll be right out" I said letting go of my mother and walking outside. "what do you want to talk to me about?" I asked as soon as Nadia closed the door. "I'm sorry for this but I have to take you to my alpha tonight because she wants to meet you" Nadia said looking away as she added "your father has already agreed and put your stuff in the car" as she pointed to the blue corvette that was parked over by my green pickup. I sighed and nodded my head " may I say goodbye to my mother?" I asked, not wanting to let her see me cry. "Of course" she said. I ran inside and hugged my mother tightly " I love you mom" I said, letting go of her and looking into her silver eyes. all she did was nodded then looked away from me. "I'm ready, Nadia" I said, closing the door and walking to the corvette and opening the passenger side door and getting in. 'This is gonna be a long drive' I thought to myself.
