Claire raised her eyebrows for a moment, then smiled as she stepped closer. 

Ryley swallowed nervously, his heart unknowingly grew uneasy as a wave of mixed feelings flooded his chest.

"This... This is my late mother."

The blond couldn't help but blink in surprise, stunned at the unanticipated answer that Claire gave him.

"Your late... mother?" He asked in a disbelieving tone, his brown eyes anxiously stared at the painting and the elegant woman in front of him in turns. 

Did he not hear it wrong? Did Claire Morrison just say that this woman was her late mother?

Ryley swallowed the nervousness in his throat once again, he couldn't stop his eyes from flickering.
