Delina paced nervously. She had, of course, canceled the meeting with the other ladies, as her nervous state did not allow her to deal with anyone who was not very important to her or if the situation was not necessary.

"You will end up drilling a hole in this floor." Sophie said, as she embroidered.

Delina looked at her and sighed.

"Sorry. I… I'm nervous! My two mates are out. I… I feel so alone, desperate, abandoned!" She sat on the couch and lay back, huffing.

Sophie set the embroidery aside and knelt next to Delina, taking her hand between hers.

"It's going to be okay, okay? Stay calm. The Prince is strong, he will be fine. And the other... well, he's a werewolf, isn't he? A type of powerful beast. An Alpha, you said…"

"Yes, Sophie. However, that doesn't mean the two are immortal. At least I know Kraig is not."

As Delina lay there, one of the guards came in to announce that Lady Gallard was there.
