Chapter 76

They were having lunch when a messenger arrived at the palace and asked to speak with Edgar.

"It is a messenger from Wirksamkeit, Your Majesty." One of the guards informed the Prince and Edgar nodded in agreement. Then he looked at Delina, who was observing with wide eyes. Nobody arrived like that to speak with Edgar. 

"I'll see what it's about, my love." He took her hand, placed a kiss there, and stood up. Then, he started to walk away and turned his head just to wink at his beloved mate before turning around the pilaster and vanishing from her view. 

Delina stayed at the table, Suindara was still in his tower, Sophie was enjoying her honeymoon with Petrus in a small town within the kingdom, but a little further away. So, in resume, she was all alone.

She waited and waited, and when Edgar finally returned, his face wasn't the best. Clearly something bad had happened.
