“Mr. Ashyx, may I ask the purpose of your visit today?” Res Rusticas’s Alpha asks me as he sits across from me.

“Could we please have a private conversation without our servants?” I ask politely as he smiled and nodded. He didn’t think twice before ordering his men to get out of the room – reciprocating the trust, I ordered my men to get out.

“Thank you for trusting me, Alpha. I’m just at my last lifeline,” I decided to show my desperation – I want to make this work.

“You can call me Mr. Horth, Alpha. I am very fond of your wife,” he said and I smiled. “She’s not my wife yet, but the moment we get her back – I’ll make sure to marry her right away,” I said.

“You can also call me Terran, Mr. Horth,” I suggested and he nodded right away before asking, “What had happened to Semi?”

“Unfortunately, she’s been taken by Rytingder,” I said and his eyes widened. “That can’t be, I still had contact with their leader a while ago,” he said.
