Chapter 6

Elites.

Chen Academy is comprised of elite students. However, among those elites are the elites of the elites.

Standing on top of the entire student population is the group of friends called 'Elites'.

Charismatic, good-looking, filthy rich, and intelligent—if not all of these qualities, each member of the group has at least three of these.

Chesca Lee.

Victoria Elyse Chua.

Ren Takahashi.

Paris Clarke.

And...

Theodore Greene.

The five of them are the top dogs at their school. Although their group formed solely because of their friendship, other students think otherwise. They think they intentionally pick out people on their level.

They see them as a group of friends who has everything anyone could ever wish for, making them the school idols. But little do they know...

The kids they look up to have a side they don't want to show to others.

"Hey, Chesca Lee! Stop stealing my snacks!" A boy said as he grabbed the bag of chips from Chesca's hand.

Chesca Lee, an internet celebrity with over 800,000 followers on her Inst*gram account. People see her as the cute and friendly type, given her appearance and petite figure that goes so well with that image.

She looks like the cute and friendly type, but the real Chesca is...

"I'm gonna fuck you up, Paris! Give it back!" she yelled as she tackled the boy, resulting in them falling to the floor.

The real Chesca Lee... is nowhere near cute and has a very vulgar mouth.

"This is mine! Go buy your own!" The boy yelled as curled his body like a turtle, hugging the bag of chips tightly so Chesca won't be able to take it away from him.

Paris Clarke is a boy with charisma that goes so well with his princely looks. People see him as a real prince because of his gentlemanly demeanor and also because his grandfather is the former president of the country. He comes from a family of politicians and businessmen, and he's a son of a senator.

But in truth, Paris Clarke is...

"I'm not letting you take this, you pig!" he yelled and cackled, feeling victorious that he was able to protect his precious chips.

... a petty son of a bitch.

At least, that's how Chesca thinks of him.

"You guys really have to learn to keep your mouths shut or at least minimize your voices. My ears are ringing," a boy with thick glasses said as he frowned at them.

"I bet Rain lost again," a black-haired girl said as she grinned while looking at the boy as if he was so pathetic.

Ren Takahashi AKA Rain is a boy who's obsessed with playing games but really sucks at gaming. Among the five of them, he's the only one who doesn't bother hiding his attitude to please people. Because of that, students think it's weird that he's part of the 'Elites' when he's like that. They don't think there's something unique about him, branding him as the 'black sheep' of the group according to the students.

"I did not. My battery just died, Vicky," he said as he fixed his glasses and smirked at the girl, who felt pissed after hearing him call her Vicky.

"Losers make the most pathetic excuses," the girl said as she looked at him pitifully, getting back at him and trying not to make it seem like she lost her cool.

Victoria Elyse Chua AKA Tori is the girl called 'The Goddess of Chen Academy'. Tall, beautiful, and smart, everybody wants to at least be able to talk to her but can't because they find her too radiant for them to approach. She's seen as a calm person but she actually loses her cool easily and gets pissed of with the smallest things. She's also had a crush on Theodore since childhood.

"You guys... Do you think you can just enter my room as you please?" Theodore said as he smiled at them with an ominous aura around him.

"Yeah." All four of them responded in chorus, ignoring how Theodore looked displeased and a bit angry because of their intrusion.

Theodore Greene AKA Theo, the king of the school. At the young age of 7, he can already speak three languages and solve math problems on the level of a 6th grader. He's a boy who excels in a lot of things, may it be in academics, sports, music, or whatever it is. He's confident in his abilities and never doubts that he can get what he wants. He's a boy who always wins and never loses.

He's someone whom the students view as a perfect person, especially because they do not know Theodore personally.

"I'm gonna count down to ten. If you haven't left by the time I finish, I'll call your parents and expose all your deepest, darkest secrets," Theodore said with a cold gaze as he looked at them one by one.

Theodore Greene, a boy who has a name that means 'gift of God', is nowhere near God's gift...

"10... 9..."

... because he's a spawn of Satan.

The four of them flinched and hurriedly took their things. They pushed each other to the door, in a hurry to leave Theodore's room because they know he's not kidding even in the slightest.

To make what he wants to happen actually happen, Theodore wouldn't even hesitate to resort to dirty tricks even if it means he has to blackmail people to accomplish his goal.

He's that type of person.

"Hurry!" Paris pushed them to the door since he's behind the three of them, making him at risk of getting exposed.

"8... 7..." Theodore continued counting.

"We're already out, okay? Are you happy now?" Chesca glared at her cousin as she gritted her teeth.

"Very," Theodore smiled. "Well then, I'll be closing my door," he continued and closed the door, leaving his friends by his doorstep.

"Wow, seriously... I'd like to punch him once," Chesca smiled as she felt the little rationality left in her slowly dissipating.

"Ex... Excuse me... Could you please tell Theodore to come to the back of the school building? The one near the garden..." A girl with a soft voice spoke as she shyly approached the four.

"Theodore? Sure," Chesca said with a smile on her face. "Then... Please tell him I'll be waiting there," the girl said and quickly ran away.

"Hmm..." Chesca threw a quick glance at Victoria and saw that she had an uneasy look on her face, also knowing what would happen if Theodore goes there.

Chesca knocked on her cousin's door, and just after two knocks, the door immediately opened. "What is it now?" Theodore frowned as he glared at her.

"Go to the back of the building. Someone's waiting there for you."
