Chapter 16

"Theo, baby, I'm here~!"

Their attention was immediately diverted from their phones to the girl who excitedly called for Theodore. She ran to him and wrapped her arms around Theodore, who was still sitting on the couch.

"Get off of me," Theodore said as he removed her arms. "We leaving now?" he asked as he stood up and fixed his clothes. "Yup," Chesca nodded. "By the way, Tori, this is Yuri. And Yuri, this is Tori," Chesca introduced them to each other.

"Nice to meet you," Yuri smiled. "Likewise," Victoria smiled back.

After their brief introduction, the four of them left the building and headed to the car a few meters away from them.

Yuri doesn't know much about cars, but he knew the car in front of them was expensive just from looking at it.

"I'm taking the passenger seat," Theodore said as he opened the door and went inside. The driver went out of the car and opened the door for the Victoria, who was standing in front of it.

"Can I sit in the middle? I don't like sitting by the window," Chesca said as she shyly looked at Yuri. The omega nodded with a smile and said, "Sure."

They all went inside and as they drove somewhere, Yuri asked, "Why do you like sitting in the middle?" Chesca pursed her lips, hesitating whether she'd tell him the reason or not.

'If it's Yuri, then I guess it's okay,' she thought and faced him. "My brothers like sitting next to the windows. I've always been stuck in the middle, so I guess you could say that I'm used to sitting here," she answered.

"Chesca, is it really okay to talk about your 'brothers'?" Victoria whispered as she nudged her slightly. "It's okay. Yuri is a good person," she whispered back.

Theodore scoffed. The space was narrow and quiet, so all of them could hear what they were whispering about.

"Chesca is hiding her brother's existence," Theodore said, still facing in front. "Theo! I was gonna explain things first," Chesca pouted. "Chill, you were gonna say it anyway," the alpha retorted. "Still!" she raised her voice a little as she glared at her cousin.

"You see, one of my brothers doesn't like the attention people give him whenever they find out that he's from an affluent family. He's a bit on the weird side. He pretends to be a bum or something," Chesca shrugged.

'I can't really imagine someone doing that when she uses the term bum, but okay. I shouldn't judge how he wants to live his life,' Yuri thought as he tried not to make a weird facial expression.

They talked about random stuff as they headed to their destination with Theodore remaining quiet the entire time. Victoria didn't really like Yuri at first glance, but as she spoke to him more, she started to think that he was an 'okay' person and understood why Chesca freely talked to him about her family.

"Oh, so you're from that province? Isn't that place famous for that waterfall? Was it called, XX Falls?" Victoria said as she leaned forward to see Yuri's face. "Yup! That's the one. Many tourists come there for summer. If you go there in summer, I think I can tour you around the place," the omega said with a smile.

Victoria felt her heart skip a beat upon seeing Yuri's smile. Not only was his smile pretty, but the sunlight in his background also provided some kind of aesthetic in how he looked when he smiled at her.

'Wow, this is crazy. He must be popular,' she thought as she smiled back. "Sure! Let's go there together soon," she said with a smile.

'I've only known him this morning, but he's comfortable to talk to. I kinda get why Chesca wanted to befriend him,' Victoria thought.

However, no matter how the girls thought of Yuri nicely, Theodore still thought different. There was something inside him that made him feel uncomfortable about Yuri, and he didn't like it.

'He's being too plastic. Is he that desperate to suck up to them?' the alpha thought as a sarcastic smile formed on his lips.

Soon after, they finally arrived at the mall where they were heading to. Theodore was the first to get out of the car. He opened the door for Victoria, while Yuri opened the door himself on the other side.

"Personal shopper?" Theodore asked, asking if Chesca wants a personal shopper to come with her, as he watched Chesca get out of the car after Victoria. "Nah. That's no fun," she said as she shook her head.

Theodore closed the door as soon as Chesca got out. Some people who were near the mall entrance couldn't help but glance in their direction. It was like they were witnessing some kind of celebrity get-together because of their visuals.

It was undeniable that each and every one of them was a head-turner. Chesca, specifically, had some people who recognized her since she's an Inst*gram celebrity.

"Let's head to the department store first," Chesca smiled as she looked at them. Victoria wanted to ask her why they were heading to the department store instead of going to their usual boutiques, but she soon realized that it was because of Yuri. "Yeah, let's do that," Victoria smiled.

The four of them entered the mall, not minding how some people's gazes were fixated on them. As they walked to the department store, Theodore was already starting to think about what was gonna happen if he stayed with them longer.

"Hey, can't I just stay at a cafe?" he said as he pulled Chesca's hair. "Ow! Why did you pull my hair?!" she said, raising her voice a bit. 'This guy is becoming more and more like Paris,' Chesca thought. "It wasn't even that hard," Theodore frowned at her.

"And, no. Did you think I made you come with us for nothing? You're gonna carry the paper bags later, Theo," she said as if it was something so obvious. Theodore looked at her like he wants to disown her and thought, 'I'm seriously gonna tell on her brother later.'

He rolled his eyes and looked in the other direction. He then saw Yuri and Victoria talking with all smiles as they walked together.

Once again, Theodore felt uncomfortable as he looked at Yuri's smiling face. 'Why does he keep smiling? So annoying,' he thought as he looked away.

'Again... There's this uncomfortable feeling again.'
