15 Chapter 15

[LAST NIGHT]

"Wanna go shopping with me?" Chesca said over the phone. Yuri's face lit up upon hearing what Chesca said. "Sure! I'm not yet familiar with the city, so it's a great help if you do accompany me," he said as he smiled even though Chesca couldn't see his face.

Just a few minutes ago, Yuri was thinking about what he was going to wear to Chesca's birthday. He didn't have a lot of clothes since he left some back at home. Aside from that, he also didn't have any new ones.

While Yuri was answering their homework, his phone rang. It was Chesca who called and the two of them started chatting over the phone.

"Oh, right! You weren't able to go outside of school, right?" Chesca said as she munched on something. "Mhm. It's not like I had anyone to go with before," Yuri chuckled as he highlighted a sentence on his history book. "Fear not, dear. This big sister will go with you," Chesca proudly said on the other end.

"I think I'm older than you, though? I was born in February," Yuri laughed. "Whatevs. Consider me a big sis anyway," Chesca giggled, shrugging off what Yuri said.

"*Noona! I told you not to eat too many chips. Do you wanna get an upset stomach again? I swear to god, I'm gonna tell Mom about this if you don't put that down!" Someone yelled in Chesca's background.

[*Noona: an honorific title used by males to address older sisters or other females older than themselves.]

The girl clicked her tongue and said, "Let's meet up tomorrow to shop together. I gotta end this call. Somebody's being an ass again." Yuri quietly laughed upon hearing what Chesca said.

"Sure, sure. See you tomorrow," Yuri responded.

[BACK TO PRESENT]

'Has this guy finally lost his mind? Why is he in front of my door? Seriously, it's still morning and my day is already ruined,' Yuri thought as he blatantly showed his displeasure on his face.

"Why are you in front of my room?" Yuri asked as he gave him an irked look on his face. "Chesca told me to come and get you," the alpha said as he frowned. Yuri remained quiet and thought, 'Why, though?'

"Hey, don't get me wrong. I never wanted to stand here too, let alone see your face," Theodore scoffed. "I never said that you wanted to stand there and see my face, though? Aren't you just assuming what I'm thinking?" Yuri said as he tilted his head a bit.

"I'm just trying to clear things. I don't want you having funny thoughts. People like you tend to give meaning to things like this," the alpha said with a smug look on his face.

Yuri felt the urge to hit his face with a metal bat. He was felt so disgusted that Theodore must have thought that he was gonna assume something and at the same time, he also felt annoyed that he said 'people like you' again.

'This jerk... If that's the case, then...' Yuri looked at him with the eyes of a dead fish.

"Wow, get off your high horse, dude," Yuri scoffed. "Then again, 'people like you' tend to assume that other people are soooo interested in you to the point that you'd accuse them of having funny thoughts just because you're standing in front of them," he continued without taking breaths in between his words.

"I suggest you get yourself checked 'cause it seems like you have a narcissistic personality disorder," Yuri said as he gave him a sarcastic smile.

He then closed the door behind him and walked past Theodore.

The alpha's mouth gaped open upon hearing what Yuri said. 'Narcissistic personality disorder? Me?' he thought as he scoffed.

"I suggest you do the same. I remember hearing someone showering himself with endless compliments yesterday. I thought I'd die of cringe from hearing what you were saying to yourself," he said as he looked at Yuri's back. "The walls are thin, you see," he continued.

Yuri felt like his head would burst from the blood that was rushing to his face. He felt so embarrassed that of all people, Theodore had to hear what he was saying yesterday.

It was too embarrassing that he just walked ahead and left Theodore behind. He didn't want to see his face because he like if he does, he might actually decide to bury himself 6 feet under.

A smile formed on Theodore's lips upon seeing how Yuri ignored him. 'Looks like I win, huh?' he thought as he lightly shook his head. He followed behind him, and the two then headed to the elevator together.

Yuri felt like he was experiencing 3 minutes of hell the entire time they waited for the elevator doors to open. He didn't want to take the stairs because he felt like he'd be admitting his defeat if he did that. He'd just give Theodore the satisfaction of winning the argument against him.

Theodore, on the other hand, didn't really think much of it anymore. Although he felt great that he got Yuri to shut up, that feeling vanished almost right away.

The elevator finally opened, and the entire time the two were inside, they were both quiet. Yuri didn't want to speak to him and Theodore also felt the same way. In the first place, he didn't even like being in the same space as Yuri because of his negative opinion about his friendship with Chesca.

They finally got to the ground floor, but Chesca and Tori weren't there yet. Yuri made sure to sit far from him as soon as they got to the lobby. He wanted to keep his distance from him as much as possible because he still felt embarrassed.

The two were on their phones the entire time they waited for Chesca and Tori to arrive. Yuri was staring at his phone, waiting for Chesca to reply to his text and pretending that he was busy, and Theodore was looking for a place where they can eat lunch after they shop.

Suddenly, a girl's high-pitched and excited voice filled the entire lobby.

"Theo, baby, I'm here~!"
