Chapter 11

"Yeah? What is it?" he said as he raised his brows. "Did you bring the goods with you?" Chesca whispered as she leaned a bit closer.

"You make it sound like we're doing a drug deal," the guy in front of them chuckled. "Yeah, I brought it with me," he continued as he nodded.

"Nice! By the way, this is my friend, Yuri," Chesca said as she looked at Yuri who finally calmed down. "Sup," the guy nodded as a greeting.

"Give them to me, Theo. Go, go, move," Chesca said as she pushed him lightly. "Chill. I'm gonna get them, okay? You don't have to push me," he frowned at her.

He then walked away from the two and went to his chair where his bag was. Yuri, who was watching him from where he stood, let out a deep breath.

"I thought you were gonna call Paris. You almost gave me a heart attack," he said as he put his hand on his chest and let out a sigh of relief. "I wanted to tease you," Chesca giggled.

Theodore then came walking with a paper bag in his hand. "Here. You could have ordered it using your name, you know?" he frowned as he handed the paper bag to Chesca. "You know Mom would kill me if he finds out I've been buying stuff again, right?" Chesca said as she pursed her lips.

'Does he hate it that much that I use his name when I shop online? It's not like he's the one paying, though,' Chesca thought as she looked at her cousin.

"Whatever," Theodore said as he sighed. "Do you need anything else?" he asked. "Nah. Thanks," Chesca beamed as she patted his shoulder. Her cousin slapped her hand lightly as if telling her to remove her hand.

Chesca frowned at him and told him that she and Yuri are gonna go back to class now. Chesca walked away first because Yuri was busy stealing a glance at Paris through the windows.

"Hey," Theodore called. Yuri looked in his direction as he stopped walking and said, "Me?" as he pointed himself. "Yeah, you," the alpha said as he stepped out of their classroom. He walked towards Yuri and stopped in front of him.

Theodore looked at Yuri as if he was an insect and said in a low voice, "Stop hanging around Chesca. I know what people like you want. Keep your distance and don't get involved with her again." He then left Yuri standing in the middle of the hallway and went back inside the classroom.

Yuri was left dumbfounded.

He didn't know what Theodore was talking about when he said he knows what people like him wants. But even though the omega doesn't have the tiniest clue as to what he was talking about, he felt angry and offended.

"People like me?" he scoffed. 'He just left after saying what he wanted to say. I hope he trips somewhere,' Yuri thought as he gritted his teeth. He then walked away and followed Chesca back to their classroom.

And just as he cursed Theodore, he really did trip because of his classmate's bag that was on the floor.

The entire morning, Yuri was in a foul mood. The only thing that kept him from feeling worse was the thought of meeting Paris later after classes end.

"Alright, class! Move your chairs closer to your seatmate and get a sheet of paper. Any paper will do. We're having a surprise quiz by pair. You can work with your seatmate to think of the answer, and the pair with the highest score will be exempted on the quarterly exam for this subject," the teacher said and clapped his hands twice. "Faster!"

The students hurriedly moved their chairs, making screeching sounds as some of them dragged their chairs on the floor.

Yuri looked at his seatmate, who didn't seem to be interested in studying at all, and sighed. "Did you listen to the discussion earlier?" he asked as he moved his chair since Rain wouldn't move his. "No," Rain answered briefly.

Yuri clenched his jaw and sighed. He tried not to show his annoyance, but it didn't seem to work at all.

"It's not like I knew this was going to happen. Why are you looking at me like that?" Rain said with an annoyed look on his face, annoyed that Yuri seemed to be blaming him for something. The omega sighed and said, "Let's just get this over with."

The quiz started and it wasn't a surprise to Yuri that he was able to answer all the questions correctly even without Rain's help.

"Last question. This question is equivalent to 20 points. Whoever answers this correctly will surely be able to win even if they didn't get the correct answers to most of the questions. Raise your hand right away if you know the answer. The first one to raise their hand will have the opportunity to answer the question, and only one pair will be chosen as the one with the correct answer if they manage to answer correctly. This means that you have to answer before anyone else to win," the teacher said with a smile on his face.

'We have to get this right... There were only 10 questions with 2 points for each. If I get the correct answer, I won't have to take the exam for this subject,' Yuri thought as he swallowed hard.

"Now, for the last question... What is my middle name?" he said and beamed.

The students' mouths gaped open because of his question. Not only was it unrelated to their lesson, but they don't remember their teacher saying his middle name at all.

Yuri sighed as he lowered his head, giving up on answering. He hasn't been around the school for a long time, so there was no way he'd be able to know what their teacher's middle name is.

"Oh? One student seems to know the answer," their teacher said. Yuri raised his head and looked to his side to look for the student who raised their hand, but to his shock, it was none other than his seatmate.

"Brown. Sir Johann Brown-Williams. That's your full name," Rain said with an expressionless face while raising his hand.

"I don't think I allowed you to speak yet, but yes, that's correct," their teacher said as he chuckled. "Well, it seems like we now have a winner. Congrats on being exempted from the exam, Ren and Uriel," he continued.

The class' disappointed groans filled the room as their teacher announced the scheduled date for the exam. It's still a month away, but the students are advised to start advanced studying.

"That's all for today, class! See you next meeting," he said and left the classroom after the students said goodbye to him.

"So, uh... How did you know Sir Johann's middle name?" Yuri asked as he looked at Rain. "It was announced during the entrance ceremony. New teachers were introduced in front. Their full name, middle name included, were mentioned by the principal," Rain explained and stood up.

Yuri thought Rain was gonna leave again, just like what he usually does, but he was rather shocked when he saw what his seatmate did.

Rain lifted Yuri's chair and moved it back to where it was before. "You're pretty smart. You saved me from the exam," he said as he placed the chair on the floor.

He turned to Yuri and with a smile, he said, "Thanks."
