Nolan looked at her tightly clenched fists and his gaze darkened even more.

He retorted, "Try doing so and see if it wouldn't backfire on you. You know well that we are contracted. You can't hurt me unless you and your pack want to die anytime soon.

At that moment, it was as though a bucket of cold water was splashed on Sylvia. It was the moment she abhorred her decision to sign the blood contract with him.

It was manipulative and it made her helpless against all his actions.

Nolan seemed pleased with himself seeing that she had realized what the situation was.

"Lie down!" he ordered, giving her a cold look.

He had made up his mind to teach her a lesson. And he wasn't going to go back on his word. Not for her or any other person.

Sylvia wanted to go against him but she remembered that Nolan could punish her in the worst way possible if she dared to go against him. Coupled with the lives of people at stake. She didn't dare to bet on so many lives for her selfish interests.

She lowered her stance and pleaded, "Please trust me. Nothing is going on between you and Xavier. He just happened to come around to check if I was doing okay. I just met him a few months back. There is no way a relationship can pick up in such a short amount of time."

She clasped her palms tightly as she added, "Please do not punish me or Xavier for something that we didn't do at all."

Nolan's eyes were red and his heart turned cold. She was scared. Yet, she still tried to plead for Xavier. Just his name set Nolan's heart on burning Cole.

Was she that oblivious to how angry he was at that moment?

He gritted his teeth harshly. "Lie down. I do not want to have to repeat my words to you."

Sylvia could no longer delay. She laid down after so many unhelpful hesitations and useless explanations.

Nolan walked to the drawer. He pulled it out and brought out two ropes. Sylvia watched his movements and couldn't help but heave in fear. She gasped at the thought that he was about to lash out at her with those ropes.

Without saying anything, Nolan moved closer to her and then grabbed her hand forcefully. Then he began to roll the rope around her wrist, after which he tied it to the edge of the bed. He did the same to her other wrist.

At that moment, Sylvia was already very much aware of where his actions were leading to. He was going to force himself on her.

Sylvia's heart shook and a tear slipped down her eyes as she watched him being so arrogant and disdainful.

This was the worst kind of punishment for her. Nolan was very much aware of the fact that reminding her that she was his in a sexually violent way would bring much pain to her, both physically and emotionally.
