CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR: Arrival in Valeria.
“What the hell does this witch want?” her wolf growled in her subconscious.
Sian could feel her wolf literally bouncing and struggling to take over and shift but the vine was so tight around her that she could barely breathe.
“Now, tell me everything that happened in Valeria.” Elena sang in a hypnotic voice as she stared deep into Sian’s eyes. Sian’s dark pupil dilated and spread out till her eyes were entirely black, covering her amber iris and her shoulders slumped.
“I am not supposed to tell you this but an assassination was attempted on the king few moons ago,’ Sian began in a whisper as her eyes were totally black. “But the assassin that tried to kill the king turned out to be his mate and strangely consumed poison.”
Elena was silent as she absorbed the information, staring at the beautiful she-wolf she had hypnotized. The queen mother had warned her to never use this dark side of her magic as it had its side effect but difficult times called for tougher solutions.
