CHAPTER forty-two: Wake-up Amelia

Amelia found herself in the center of a tower, barely illuminated by the grey moonlight. The doors and windows of the tower were flung open yet not a single wind blew in the tower. The air itself was humid and stale.

The walls of the tower were titanic and round as though she stood at the bottom of a well.

Through a square cut on the crown of the tower, grey moonlight slithered in. the tower was bare of any objects and designs left for the mirror, which hung unsupported in the air.

The surface of the looking glass shone like clear waters under the glow of the moonlight.

Amelia slowly stepped forward and peered into the mirror only for to see herself briefly reflected on it and then her reflection opened its mouth while her own mouth was close and begun screaming soundlessly, its hair whipped around by a gust of heavy wind while her hair remained still.
