The demon beast finally jumped out leaving the coverage of the forest at an angle where Yun wei was least expecting,

Notwithstanding Yun wei reacted at a fast pace as he has kept his guard up from the beginning as he even readjust his position to a pace that is best to counterattack or defend from the ambush of the beast, gaining a nod of approval from the old gramps inside the the pendant

"He sure learns quite fast, good reaction"

Instead of waiting for the beast to arrive, Yun wei takes the initiative to move towards the beast. Yun wei moves at a speed even faster than the beast, quickly shortening the distance between the beast and Yun wei

These finally elicits a reaction in the calm eyes of the beast which is soon replaced by terror.

The ambush as failed and the beast is in the open for attack from the person he once considered as a prey

Yun wei did not fail as he raised his hands backward accompanied by the mivements of his waist and draws power as he prepared to attack and as soon as he reached an attacking range of the demon beast he launches a fierce punch at the demon beast

Just before the punch lands on the demon beast, Yun wei could see the look of helplessness and ferocity on the face of the beast.

As the punch lands it forms a large indentation on the body of the beast as it flies like a cannon ball

All these took time to describe, but all the movements were carried out swiftly and precisely without error and within few breaths.

The beast flew backwards breaking a lot of trees in the forest and these time finally lands and created a small size crater on the floor.

Despite all these the beast still struggles to stand back up from the ground albeit with a lot of struggle

"It's not yet dead, so resilient"

Yun wei was surprised because a full power-driven punch by him was not able to kill the beast instantly or immediately

"Don't be too suprised, demon beast are usually stronger than human cultivators at the same stage not only because of some peculiar traits or abilities but also because there body are generally stronger than cultivators of the same stage and a few level higher

For example the body of a 9th stage demon beast is stronger than that of a cultivator at the 11th stage of meridian opening stage unless you are a body cultivator, that is one of the reasons cultivators use weapons like the spear you have behind your back" said the old gramps casually from the pendant

On the back of Yun wei is a spear split into two places, these is the spear he got from the star pavilion.

It is detachable for convenience and for easy of carrying around as it can be easily attached back to return back to it's original position

Yun wei did not want to use the spear during the clan hunt unless his life is in mortal danger apart from that he hasn't mastered the use of the spear yet or better still he hasn't even grasp the rudimentary aspect talkless of small perfection

Yun wei suddenly took action and rushes to the struggling beast and rained barrages of punch at the beast

"I don't believe you can survive all the punches being launched towards you "

After a few moment he stopped as the beast as already stopped breathing already and lies down miserably on the ground

"Finally I did it whooo, that wasn't to hard" said Yun wei

Come to think of it, these is the first time he actually killed as the first one was done when he was not in control or due to bloodlust"

"What is so special about that, you only killed a beast one level lower than your realm, where I come from I know a lot of people that can kill people far above there realm, some even killed energy formation expert at the peak of meridian opening, so these is nothing" said the old gramps dampening and killing all his sense of accomplishment and waking him up to reality

The world is a very vast world, there are plenty geniuses as the stars in the sky, who can say they are the strongest, who can say they have seen it all, who can say whether they will fall or not on the path of cultivation, yes these act of killing a beast of lower level is not worth feeling any sense of accomplishment

Yun wei quickly wakes him self to reality, his mentality changed subtly at that moment and starts to dissect the beast looking for it's inner core

"These place should have been cleared and normally there should not be beast off these kind of level here, hope the others are safe" mutters Yun wei

Because most of the participants range from the 7th stage and above , if it is another person that was ambushed like that he most likely will fall, so his worry is not unfounded

"Old gramps you said something about body cultivators, what does that mean" asked Yun wei suddenly before he decides to continue

"Oh yeah, i said something like that, well body cultivators are people who cultivate the body, it is also a branch of cultivation

Some people choose to cultivate the body and use it to achieve the dao in the sense that they place less emphasis on energy cultivation and place more energy on the cultivation of the body, they are usually more stronger than other counterparts.
