It was past midnight and Yang Mei Mei was still in the clubroom, working out on trying to solve the mysteries when there was a sudden small earthquake, enough to make the flower vase on the table fall and make a crack in this old building's wall. As soon as Yang Mei Mei got up she was awed. "I see, so this is it..." She quickly scribbled something on paper and put it in a diary she was reading to then place the diary carefully back in Sir Oberon's library. She then went back to the old building where luckily there was one of those new technologies; a telephone which was yet scarcely used but there were multiple throughout the school. She rang up all club members' rooms without any hesitation.
"Oh Lord, who's calling at this hour, hello? yes, Sophia, call's for you, it's Yang Mei Mei." cried over Ludmilla to Sophia who was cuddled up in a blanket and in Rhydian's arms on the sofa by the fireplace. "Huh? at this ungodly hour?" mumbled Rhydian. Sophia woke up, feeling exhausted and tired still and walked to the telephone where Ludmilla was waiting for her while yawning, Rhydian followed closely behind her.
"Hello, Yang Mei Mei? what's the matter at this hour?" asked Sophia.
"Come to the old school building right now, and bring Rhydian with you too, I'll show you all something interesting. I have solved and uncovered the seventh mystery, finally after a decade we will know what the seventh mystery is." After saying just that Yang Mei Mei hung up the phone and smirked while deep in thought when suddenly she felt a creeping creature behind her. "That startled me, there's nothing there." she said to herself after turning around, her heart palpitating.
"What do you think she would say or show us?" asked Sophia to Rhydian while they were walking to the old school building in their night robes and pyjamas. "Well I'm not sure, aren't you the little detective?" Said Rhydian teasingly. As soon as they reached their destination, to their surprise there was no one waiting for them in the corridor where the telephone was. They then heard voices from outside and went to check it out to find the other club members and their own crew mates there. Sophia and Rhydian rushed to join them and asked them if they too got a call from Yang Mei Mei. The others replied in the positive. Suddenly a bright light flashes in their direction; "What are you students doing here at this hour? Now come with me to my office so I can take your names, penalty points for each of you and cleaning duty as punishment, come on now, walk faster" said Mr. Yasaoka; the school patrolling officer.
" Great, first Yang Mei's weird call, now we get caught..." mumbled Vassiliev Ivanovitch while holding Katerina Verbitzkaya's hand. "Oh Vassiliy... I am a little scared" Said Katerina, squeezing Vassiliev's hand. He reassured her by kissing her forehead and giving her a smile and pulling her closer to him.
"So, your names please." asked Mr. Yasaoka once they all reached his office. "Wait, we're all members of the Mystery research club and Yang Mei Mei called us all here telling us she had solved the seventh mystery and wanted to show us something interesting however she was nowhere to be found. Something must have happened!" Said Hajime, "humph, maybe she's pranking us, who knows." Said Alexandrovitch. " How insolent!" called out Wang Xiao Duo. "Mystery research club you say? The seventh mystery?, Alright one of you will come with me to look around for her, You there Black wavy shoulder length haired handsome man in grey pyjamas, come with me. What's your name?" ordered Mr. Yasaoka.
"Rhydian... I mean Faik sir." answered Rhydian.
"Fine name you got there Rhydian you mean Faik..." said the patrolling officer.
"I'm sorry sir, I was absorbed in a novel where the male lead's name was Rhydian and I thought myself to be him. Faik...Belrose sir." Said Rhydian all composed, remembering the sudden fake names Sophia came up with although Faik was one of his given names. The patrolling officer rolled his eyes and they went together to look for Yang Mei.
They looked around for about ten minutes and came back to the main building when they were passing a hallway who's end faces opposite the old building's biology room and saw a dim light inside. "Huh? this is impossible!" cried Mr. Yasaoka and they both rushed to the end of the hallway only to see a hanging body, beneath it a star pentagram with candles on each end that lit the room and next to them a ghastly figure who slowly turned around to face them. Mr.Yasaoka gasped at the sight, what an ugly creature it seemed to be. "It's the after-school Conjurer they all talk about! Yang Mei Mei, Yang Mei Mei is in danger, let's go to the forbidden Biology room, quick!" cried out Rhydian and they were rushing there at full speed, followed by the others who heard the cries too, Hajime even witness the after-school Conjurer with them as he was coming back from the restroom and passed by them in that hallway and saw it too.
They were knocking loudly at the forbidden Biology room's doors. "Oi, open the door! Damned after-school Conjurer! Yang Mei! open the door! It's no use we have to break it open..." Said Hajime. And Hajime, together with Rhydian, Mr. Yasaoka, Helio, Yusha and Vassiliev pushed the door open and to their utter surprise there was no one there, nothing at all, no candles, no pentagram, no hanging body, no after-school Conjurer, nothing. "humph all this fuss for nothing, are you sure you lot weren't half asleep when you claimed to see what you saw? Or maybe Yang Mei was only playing a trick to fool us, afterall she did say she would show us something interesting however I don't see how it's supposed to be related to the seventh mystery. Let's go back to bed, we'll ask her tomorrow morning. She'll probably be laughing at us right now and when she greets us tomorrow." said Alexandrovitch who yawned after relaxing from all the tensions he was feeling before the others broke the door open and walked to the direction of the males dorms. With that everyone else dispersed and were going back to their dorms while Rhydian and Sophia were heading back to the library they were in. "Something is bugging me..." thought Sophia, Hajime and Rhydian to themselves.
The next morning, Yang Mei Mei became a corpse and was found hanging in the forbidden Biology room, underneath her a star pentagram drawn and at each corner a half burnt candle. The club members' eyes dilated, Miyuki had her hands clasped against her mouth and tears in her eyes, the dreadful horror that took them all, it seemed that this was only the beginning.
