chapter 30-The seven mysteries of Rinevald academy part 1

A few weeks had passed and the Himawari crew were running out of rations on the ship and panic took over the crew members as hunger attacked them and there was barely anything, only a few beetroots so Princess Sophia made some Borscht with them.

" A storm is about to come soon, and looks like it will be a big one, we need to land on any Kingdom or republic nearby as soon as possible, let's check out the map." Said Prince Yusha while eating up his Borscht.

"We're here...so the only dry land nearby is Rockzenbolt Island. Let's steer the wheel in that direction then. We can restock too while we're at it but first we need to find someplace to stay at and quick before the storm." Said Marques Helio while having laid the map on the table. The others nodded in agreement although the Island had rumors about being somewhat notorious but alas the storm did already start as they were having dinner. The sea went rough and the ship was shaking vigorously, the bowls of Borsht slipped and crashed on the wooden floors of the Ship's kitchen. The sea's force was quite violent and even the crew members and the tables and chairs were crashing against the inner wooden walls of the ship.

"Get on the upper deck everyone, quick!" shouted Prince Rhydian, who along with Prince Yusha helped everyone up. "raise the sails, raise the sails and steer the gears, quick we have to at least land in the port of the Island with little damage as possible!" cried Prince Kai at top of his lungs as the sound of the heavy rain splattering about in the rough sea waters were deafening. There was a loud crash of thunder followed by lightning that hit the mass of the ship. Desperately they all tried their best to direct the ship towards the port of Rockzenbolt Island and with much struggle they successfully made it to the port and left the ship in a safe corner where ships are kept during storms. Unfortunately for them The mass of the ship took quite a bit of damage, and so did the sails. An old shipwright working there saw them and quickly went to them in the middle of his dinner to help out.

"My what a splendid ship made out of the strong dark and rare Ebony wood. The mass and sails took some damage eh, rough storms these days, rough storms younguns..." said the old shipwright.

"excuse me sir but we had no choice but to dock here due to the storm and we were erm looking for a place to stay, could you help us out sir? Oh and could you repair our ship sir?" asked Prince Yusha who was drenched in sea water and rain water like all the others and shivering in the cold. The old shipwright was silent for a moment and finally said "Aye younguns, do not worry, we will repair the ship for you once the storm pass, but doesn't seem like it will pass any time soon as it only just begun. This is an Island son, and Islands are always hit by strong storms or cyclones. The closest inn from here is already closed down though but if you do not mind staying at a boarding school's dorms then..." before he could finish his sentence Lady Kristina's eyes glistened with hope and exclaimed "Oh perfect, anywhere warm with some food and drink and comfortable, with baths is fine, even a school's dorms, we don't mind, please take us there." The old shipwright nodded and took them there in a carriage. It was still raining heavily but the thunder and lightning hadn't stroke again. In less than ten minutes they reached the boarding school's gate.

"Erm is this really a school? It gives off a notoriously auspicious aura, like those century old buildings and palazzos in Venice or creepy century old vampire mansions you can read in novels..." remarked princess Lari.

"I know, gives you the chills..." said Marchioness Melody wrapping her own arms around herself. Marques Helio kissed his Marchioness's forehead and hugged her tightly while whispering in her ears "Fret not, I am here my dear, besides Vampires and warewolves are only found in novels and ancient mythologies that have yet to be proven in the modern days."

"Excuse me for interrupting this sweet moment of yours but what's the point of whispering loudly if that was only meant for your dear wife's ears only? Anyway, Helio is right, I did hear a lot of these mythologies myself and read about them but nothing has been proven yet and it defies the laws of nature and sciences, these things might only be possible to happen through black magic or mesmerism which are practically the same thing but conjured up with bizarre satanic methods or whatnot." said prince Kai.

On hearing the youngsters bicker around the old shipwright chuckled and said "you younguns know nothing, beware though and do not get involved too deep with the affairs of this island, it's for your own good." The gates of the school opened with a loud creaking sound as the gatekeeper saw the shipwright and his carriage approaching. The school grounds was huge with very old buildings after buildings that did look like a notorious villain grand Duke's estate, was it beacuse of the thick dark clouds covering up the sky and heavy rain that the school buildings looked as eerie as they were at the moment...

"Look here kids, this is Rinevald highschool, it is co-ed and has seperate dorms for male students and female students. It was indeed built from the old christian orthodox times so the buildings may look ancient to you kids because they look like those Imperial palaces with gold designs in ceilings and what not you know. I'll take you to the principal's office where he will allocate you to some rooms and provide some food or whatnot, just leave as soon as the storm is gone, the locals here do not really welcome foreigners you know, other towns may do so but we here in Rinevald village don't welcome foreigners or other locals from different villages or towns." said the old shipwright but the youths did not say anything as they were from high society themselves and lived in similarly designed buildings but more gay and fancy but these buildings in front of them simply felt weirdly auspicious as if there was something about it, but what?
